Not too hard
These are nice to use. Not too hard and scratchy but strong enough not to snap under medium pressure. Work quite nicely with water. These are not for children.

Liked the box the charcoal was kept in , charcoal protected well . As for the charcoal itself liked the chunky feel of the charcoal good quality .
