I will contact the customer service department and update as to what they say. I've changed my review to four stars because of this.The product works great and PHIVE is the only company I was able to find who had the "gravity" grinder in this finish.The copper finish is really great looking, and surprisingly hides fingerprints fairly well.The grinders function exactly as expected.The only thing I would note is that peppercorns tend to stick together when you are trying to pour them, like ice that has fused together in the bottom of your drink. Because of this, when using the pepper grinder for 5 seconds or more, the peppercorns will get stuck and require you to turn the grinder up and down again, or give it a little shake/smack. I am not sure if there is anything that can be done about this from a design standpoint, but it happens in all of my salt and peppercorn grinders.PHIVE also sent me an email to ensure I was happy with my purchase.
