Decide where you want your shelves. Make the ring on the pole ..on each of the 4 poles and set the first shelf. Nice to have help but my poles are one solid piece 86" with 4' shelves and heavy. I am old, but I planned and I measured and after installing each shelf I took a break and did something else. I had to climb a ladder and I have bursitis in one hip...and yes I am a little bit crazy...but I got it done.
