It is indeed " MORE COMFORTABLE: Ultra soft, stretchable fabric is comfortable against your skin. Fabric content: Lycra spandex and Polar fleece." I had dry mouth from sleeping on a wedge pillow for acid reflux. My hubby said I didn't snore, but clearly my mouth was open during sleep. The strap fixed the problem . Unfortunately, When I tried to re-order this item I was sent a neoprene version, which looks like the picture, but does not fit the description. Just wish I didn’t have to buy one every several months. They just wear out and material is like felt so it just falls apart. Also can’t wash it or it does so immediately. I keep buying it because it is cheap, feels good and does the job. I have bought several different designs and this one for me is the best for and design. Very soft and I guess if they used stronger material it would be harder and rough to the face and head? I don’t know. But like I said it does the job just hasn’t lasted as long as I would like. Oh the cost is minimal so I don’t mind paying for it again and again. Just re-order it using my Alexa and get it the next day!
