Dreamlings: A magical coloring book

I really love this coloring book it seems to put me into another time and place it makes me really see bight colors and I can't wait to do my first page and it came to me not bent up and I really hate that and loved that it came in a box its really safe that way as far as that its a beautiful coloring book hope to see another one I like or fall in love with Thank you so much

Cuteness overload! Omg, this is her cutest book EVER! All her books are very sweet, with pretty details. The book has enough details to be for adults, without them being too tiny for people who have difficulty with pictures that have too much. I love her art. There's even fairy mice and mermice. If you're familiar with the book "Something from Nothing", there are some images that are seemingly similar with the little mice on the bottom of the page, and are just as adorable!!!!

So, SO MANY 'SHROOMS! I kind of love this book... It's not my usual style, I must admit. I usually prefer a little less cuteness and a lot more detail, more of a Film Noir feel, but this one I like... To quote Humphrey Bogart in Casablanca, "Mister, I met a man once when I was a kid..." (Hey, I said I was a fan of Film Noir, didn't I? You were warned!) When I was a kid I met a coloring poster... I don't remember who bought it for me - probably one of my darling unmarried aunts - but this one depicted a faerie (or maybe an elven or gnomish) village in the roots of a great tree and all around were mushrooms of every shape and size. I had several coloring posters, but this one was my favorite, because I was spellbound by the mushrooms. I had no idea at that time that red caps or inky caps or amethyst deceivers or veiled ladies existed. Mushrooms to me were white buttons mom added to home-made pizzas or if we were really lucky and grams visited her secret spot in the woods behind the pasture on just the right April morning, a bushel basket of deliciously ugly morels. The idea that mushrooms could be RED with WHITE POLKA-DOTS like my favorite dress was an epiphany! What a crazy thing to make such an impression, but mushrooms and toadstools fascinate me to this day. On to the specifics... This book feels satisfactorily heavy. When you hold it in your hand it FEELS like you got your money's worth. That's important. It has a glossy, colorful cover which is clearly a pencil coloring of a page in the book. There are 29 unique single-sided designs in this book including the title page and the book plate page, 26 of which are duplicated with black (NOIR!) backgrounds. The reverse side of the white pages is white and the reverse of the black pages is black. The pages are not perforated and the images are simplistic, yet creative, suitable for both children and adults, and colorists with minor visual impairments should have no trouble. There is no title printed on the spine and there are three blank pages in the back suitable for testing your mediums. The paper is typical CreateSpace quality, which we all dread, but I no longer take off stars for paper quality because I understand that many artists would not be able to publish without a print-on-demand option. However, I do expect that artists who publish on less-than ideal paper to authorize purchasers to reproduce images, for personal use only, onto better paper. As of this posting, Ms. Mc Namee granted permission for personal use reproduction to me via Facebook message. There is one leeeetle problem, though... a printing error on a few of the pages. I'm not sure what the origin of this is, but it has been around for at least a month or two and I'm not sure a return will do any good, because I've seen friends mention it and now my copy has it as well. Luckily it is barely noticeable, and not worth the trouble to me to return it and try another copy. (See my photos to decide if this is a problem for you.) Other characters in this book: cats, dragons, sparrow-corns, unicorns, elves, butterflies, faeries, hedgehogs, mice, birds-of-paridise and what can only be described as a mer-cat-icorn. There are plenty of flowers and vines and stars and birdhouses and bee houses to ensure you will be using ALL the colors. And of course, mushrooms, mushroom hats, mushroom houses and just overall mushroom love... Why only four stars? Because I have decided that only the most AH-FREAKIN-MAZING books deserve FIVE, and while this is a lovely book, it isn't on my top ten list. Enjoy!

I absolutely love all Edwina Mc Namee books! Her drawings are somewhat close in style to Johanna Basford or Hanna Karlzon but in a more simple way with the lines being lighter and finer. So whimsical and fun!

Love it!!!!! I’ve been ordering Coloring books off of Amazon for quite some time and cannot believe how many books get sent to me that look like somebody printed them out of their home. This book is made from high-quality and has quite a few pages in it more than the average. I've bought all 3 Dreamlings books and was pleased with the art, however there are some images in black, some in white but not both as promised, publication could be the issue there. The link to digital copies of these books do not work, Edwina has been notified and I was advised that the links would no longer work due to others stealing her work and publishing it as their own. That was a bummer to me, I purchased these books with the joy of the pdf files too. But what can I do.

Amazing coloring book, well with Edwina mc namee, you can't go wrong. I was waithing after that wonderful book and i'm very please with the wonderful images, this book contain lots of Fantasy, Magical, and Beautiful Mushrooms Houses, and these adorable tiny creatures whe all love well it's a real joy to color on this Book! Recommanded!

Habe das Buch heute erhalten und wieder einmal ein wirklich traumhaft schönes Ausmalbuch! Wer die Bücher von Edwina McNamee kennt, weiß, dass sie es immer wieder schaft fantasievolle kleine Welten zu erschaffen. Auch diesmal gibt es einige der Bilder doppelt: einmal auf weißem, einmal auf schwarzem Hintergrund. Alle Seiten sind einseitig bedruckt so dass man, wenn man wie ich gerne mit Alkohol Markern malt, keine Sorge haben muss, dass ein Bild auf der Rückseite dadurch nicht mehr bemalbar ist (dennoch immer stets ein Blatt dazwischen legen). Ich kann das Buch nur empfehlen ❤️
