Great item
I love this journal the lock works great and the book looks great. The pen that came with it is very good to. It hasn't bled or streaked so far. Got here quickly too. And I'm in Alaska. This is a great buy in expensive too. I don't want to say cheap as it seems like it's good quality. I may even buy another.

quality cover and paper; cheap pen
Cheap pen has weird ink; quality cover and paper. Lock seems sturdy enough to be used carefully, but it took a moment to change the password because starting at the current combination (ex. 0 0 0 ) the lever must be HELD to the right while scrolling to the desired combination then released.

Love it! Just as described only thing I wish it came with refills for the ink pen, ink didn’t last long at all.

I think the lock reset on it's own and now it won't open.
I set the lock code myself for my kid and gave him the code, which I still remember. It randomly stopped opening. In reading the reviews of others on here, it looks really hard to reset the lock-- involving taking it off and taking it apart, so I highly doubt my kid accidentally reset it through play, or whatever a kid would do. Honestly I think my child mostly forgot he even had it. Pretty annoying, as I'm out of the return window. I will say also-- The first time I ordered this journal it came prelocked. So I'm even more under the impression that the locks are awful and will lock you out randomly. Guess I'll be cutting off the lock and it will become a regular journal now. Complete waste of money.

Lock works great, cute inside where you can log the weather, date, and which memo it is. Super pretty cover and great durability for the price.
