I'm going to try to give a very serious description of how it tastes. First, if you've ever been to a business fair or a kids place to eat with prizes where they give(or you win) cheap plastic cups that you use and it makes everything you drink out of it taste like plastic... well imagine someone melted down a watermelon(thats the flavor I had anyway) flavored chapstick and mixed it in water with a little sand and you drank it out of that cheap cup that makes it have a plastic taste and that is honestly what it tasted like. It is impossible to mix up too, but I have noticed that if I stir it up really well then let it sit for a few minutes then stir it again really well and it does a little better and tastes a little less terrible. The watermelon is also very mild which when I saw "candy shoppe flavor" I was expecting more of a sour tart jolly rancher type watermelon, but either way it isn't a good taste, and if you don't gulp it down you'll get so much grit in your mouth that leaves a horrible bitter after taste. That being said this is a strange product compared to any I've ever used in the effects aspect. I didn't feel a thing after taking a little more than a full scoop and actual found myself yawning a little between the time I took it and the 30min I use to warm up before starting my workout. No jitter, no itchiness, no tingle, no energy surge, and certainly no "ram your head through a wall" feeling. Assuming I wasn't going to see any results from it I started my workout, and I noticed my first set felt "good" in an indescribable way. About the middle of my workout I was feeling like I hadn't even exerted myself at all and wasn't tired at all but I still didn't have an energized or amped up feeling. Then I became self aware of something I had never experienced from any preworkout before. I have heard people talk about preworkouts giving them "focus", but I've always believed focus was more of a self imposed state rather than something a preworkout could give you, but in all my years of working out and using tons of different preworkouts I've never been as laser focused and locked in to what I was doing than I have while using this. In all honestly it is kinda scary cause I definitely didn't feel like myself, I was basically ignoring the music I was playing and wasn't paying any attention to it, I felt almost like a robot with an objective. That being said it wasn't like I wasn't thinking for myself but the objective I had was "this lift" or "that lift" and it was what I wanted to do, and I was doing it and I was doing it good, but it was a calm workout as well, I was lifting a good amount of weight and the pump was impressive as well, but there was no excitement or hype to it which was incredibly strange. I will use all of it because I spent the money but I will never get it again due to the taste, but also how strange it made me feel. Overall taste ruins it for sure even if it was the best I've ever used, energy was nonexistent as it gives me no get up and go but Mr. Hyde with it's caffeine overload would probably be the ticket if you are looking for intense energy, the endurance it gives you is really good though, the pump is really good, and as I made clear this is the first product I've ever noticed an effect on my focus but for me I am usually focused when I workout anyway so I could do without the emotionless robotic feeling it gave me. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works as advertised. *by F***M on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on June 27, 2018* I have tried both dr. Jekyll and mr. Hyde, and the difference between the two is the amount of caffeine per serving. Dr. Jekyll is the lower caffeine version. I am 5 10 and weigh 200 pounds I am not capable of comfortably using a full dose of either of these products. However that is not a complaint I actually really like both of them because they do exactly what they say they're going to do if you take the full dose you will probably get a little tingly which personally I don't like so I backed the dose off and only take about half. My personal preference is for the mr. Hyde product it seems like my body does better with the higher caffeine dose. I have also noticed that both products tend to improve my attitude especially during the workout, which for me is a big bonus. I'm guessing that if you're relatively new to using this kind of supplement for energy drink you might be wise to start off with a half a dose and see how your body reacts especially if you were smaller than me. The caffeine is not overbearing and the pump is amazing. I take it about 15-30 minutes prior to working out and you can definitely feel the nitric oxide doing it’s thing very early on - I notice it tingling in my hands, face and ears. Once you actually get to throwing weights around, it delivers a solid pump. My muscles seriously look throbbing. The only reason for a 4 star review is that it mixes terribly. I used it in my shaker bottle the first few times and it left behind a ton of grainy white powder that never really dissolves.
