When should you adopt an aggressive business strategy? How do we make decisions when we don't have all the information? What makes international environmental cooperation possible? Game theory is the study of how we make a decision when the outcome of our moves depends on the decisions of someone else. Economists Ivan and Tuvana Pastine explain why, in these situations, we sometimes cooperate, sometimes clash, and sometimes act in a way that seems completely random. Stylishly brought to life by award-winning cartoonist Tom Humberstone, Game Theory will help readers understand behaviour in everything from our social lives to business, global politics to evolutionary biology. It provides a thrilling new perspective on the world we live in. Review: Great overview of game theory - This book doesn't go into much of the math, but does a good job of clearly showing the principles of game theory. Certainly good for a high level introduction. Worth a read (it is a really quick read) even if you are going to be diving much deeper into the field. Review: A very easy to read and illustrative introduction to Game Theory - This book was very quick and enjoyable to read with plenty of illustrations and examples to complement the information on each chapter. The book presents the subjects with a very practical application to everyday life which makes the information easier to comprehend and to retain for the reader. I recommend this book for anyone wanting to know what Game Theory is about and how it impacts their lives even if they are not aware of it.

Very entertaining and informative introduction!
Game theory can be a very intimidating topic to learn. The math and logic skills necessary to do it well always made me feel like I would need to study a great number of prerequisites before I could tackle the subject. This book has changed my opinion of that, not to say that I donโt think those prerequisites are any less useful, just that the concepts of game theory can be understood without knowing everything beforehand. The authors presented a wide variety of useful tools and examples that make the subject clear and interesting! Highly recommend for anyone interested in the topic!!

Great book.
I used this book as a source for my capstone project during my undergraduate program earning my bachelors degree in mathematics. It made me chuckle. It had great examples and information. I need a place to start researching game theory and this book was an excellent starting point. Since game theory is so vast, it canโt encompass everything. But they did a damn fine job.

I Didn't Realize
I never grasped how Game Theory plays a part in so many aspects of everyday life. Some of the concepts and theories were a little abstract for me but the graphic aspect help me ground the ideas with more practicality. This was a very useful introduction to something I felt was important but I didn't understand why. Now I do.

Great crush course on game theory
The book delivers on its cover. If you are after a concise explanation on game theory this books probably won't disappoint. Is of course not study material if you are serious into this topic, but that's not what the book promises in the first place. I recommend this book to anyone. The book doesn't require a background in mathematics and is still able to cover a very wide range of topics

Great way to introduce game theory to a novice.
Itโs physically a small book that packs a lot of information. The concepts discussed are very interesting. The book gives you a snapshot of the topic using simple explanations and comic book like pictures and conversations. It is a great way to intro game theory and helps novices get their feet wet before diving into more in deep books.

Great Little Book...
It is a great (i.e. easy) introduction to game theory that everyone interested in anthropology, sociology, or demography should have in their library. And even if you have never heard of game theory or completely don't care about it, you will be educated and entertained by its explanations of such ideas as Keynes' Beauty Contest, or Thaler's Guessing Game. Worth every penny...

Short and Comrehensive Introduction - Recommended for Starters.
This is an excellent short yet comprehensive introduction to Game Theory. I have in the past also studied the subject on edX, but the course contained a lot of math. This book leaves out math for most parts, but delivers key explanations on the subject that are very relatable. Also, like in all the books in the series, the illustrations are very helpful. Perhaps, moving on to advanced courses (with mathematical stuff) after reading this book would be the better move for all beginners in my opinion.
