Bought one of these few weeks after it was rolled out. Work well until 2 months ago it started dropping offline done the troubleshooting over and over but still dropping off and so so until now there is still no firmware update from onvis to fix the problem. Regret buying it and will soon put it where it belongs abd that’s in the trash. Finally time to trash it as this plugs is rubbish and drops on a daily basis

I think I have had 3 different smart plug brands over the years - all of which have had horrible connection problems and constantly needed re-booting (Wemo - are you hearing me?!?). When I saw that apple were going to support matter and thread - I thought I'd find some new plugs that support that too. Enter these Onivs plugs - dead easy to add to my apple homekit (unlike some other brands!). Worked right away, and have been rock solid. I even have 2 of them in a waterproof box outside and they are fine too - even when it's below freezing outside. I've no idea what the spec of the plugs says the min temp is, but I've had no issue. I must say that I was a bit wary at first because these were really quite affordable. I've made the mistake of getting cheap plugs in the past and they were a nightmare! I'm definitely going to be picking more up in the future, and will also look for other thread supported devices too - I'm now a big fan.

Worked as expected with my Home Assistant setup with my Apple Home TV acting as a thread border router. Fairly trivial to set up once you have a matter/thread network. Device seems to be a good quality and doesn't give me any concerns about plugging it in. It definitely seems to be in a good spot re: price - far less expensive than some options but not so cheaply built that it would have you worried about it handling mains! Notably, the device does not measure or record the amount of power consumed. I had wrongly assumed that the product would do this, but on reviewing the description, I can see that this was my mistake!

Initially I was very pleased with these smart plugs, they were quick and easy to set up and worked well in my thread network. However, approximately six months later two out of the four have failed - they respond to commands and the light goes on/off but no electricity flows through. To make matters worse, there seems to be no way to initiate a warranty repair through Amazon, despite the statutory 1 year warranty.

This plug looks great. it is probably one of the rarest plugs that support matter of thread so far I have no issues with it.
