Totally worth the purchase!
Amazon says, "You could mention "thickness," "sheerness," and "warmth" in the review, but what does that even mean when talking about a computer? If you are looking for a coat, and Amazon pops this computer up, now you know why. They think it is something you wear. All that aside, I bought this mini computer for use in astrophotography. I know right there that most of you are already checking out. And that is a shame. Because this little baby is great for my needs, and I will bet it would be good for any need you might have for a mini computer. It has a decent processor. It will not win any races. But it is good. It is all solid state - no hard drive platters that need to spin up and no needles to skip back and forth over the surface of the drive looking for data. She does start up quickly. Only has 128 gigs but let us all be honest and admit that most people do not really need more than that unless you are building a "video" collection. For me - after stripping out the normal bloatware that just seems to be on any PC you get these days - I installed five pieces of software - all related to controlling my telescope and my cameras. This little guy runs on 12-volt DC just like all my telescope mounts and cameras. I can haul all this stuff out under a dark sky, set it up, connect it to my Rockman 200W power station, and start imaging. Also, since it has Windows 10 Pro, this allows me to also set this up at home and use Windows Remote Desktop from my main PC to stay nice and toasty warm in my office while controlling all my stuff out in the Minnesota winter weather of zero degrees! With 2 standard USB 2.0 ports, 2 USB 3.0 and 1 USB Type C (but only 5gbps), it has a lot of you ports you will need. The two USB 2.0 probably go for your mouse and keyboard. And they are conveniently "on the back" of the device along with the HDMI, ethernet, and power ports. Why an ethernet port? Because ethernet is faster than Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi cannot touch it. And probably will not in our lifetime as both keep getting faster. But the benefit for me is that using the ethernet port lets me pull my pictures down (and there are lots of high-resolution images for every session I run) much more quickly than Wi-Fi. About 25 times faster as best I can tell. You "can" attach 3 monitors to this, but two are to the HDMI in the back and the other would be the Type C USB port in the front. I mention this because you may find this works well as an office (or Office even) computer. But if you are looking for a high-end gaming PC, then stop looking at computers in this price range. Real gaming PCs cost 8 to 20 times more than this one does. And you get what you pay for. But that aside, this little machine is performing very well for me. I have a unique application for it. It runs several programs at one that all communicate with each other to take high resolution pictures, control where a telescope is pointed by looking through a guide scope, and all the while letting me watch the whole thing from inside the house running Windows Remote Desktop. So yes, it multi-tasks well. But you will not be rendering Adobe Premier Pro projects through Media Encoder while editing audio in Audition and creating movie posters in Photoshop at the same time on this little guy. Not at any kind of reasonable speed. But office type work? Surfing the web? Playing Minecraft? Sure. I am sure this baby can play a mean game of solitaire. All in all, this one hit all the buttons I needed pushed right now. USB 3, 128 gigs of storage, 8 gigs of ram. For a small, specialized application like mine, this is perfect. Even using Remote Desktop, it is responsive - even over 2.4 ghz Wi-Fi. (because 2.4 reaches farther than 5.0 since you know you were wondering why). Worth the price of admission - especially when there was a $30 coupon at checkout.

Speedy Mini PC, But Don't Expect Miracles Either
I'm super impressed how well this mini computer works! I actually had some doubts it might perform satisfactorily, but just decided to just try it out. In a nutshell, it is speedy for what it offers, but of course slower in certain computing tasks for what you'd get in much faster computers nowadays. But for less than $150? Not bad at all! The speed is most sufficient for its intended use - entertainment and light word processing in my use case scenario. But before settling on this particular mini PC, I looked up other mini PCs on Amazon just to research what all they offered in terms of hardware specs and overall value. I settled on this one because of the type of processor and its speed for the overall cost. I liked this unit's Intel Celeron processor for its faster speeds (but with the energy efficiency of other lower end processors) so things don't get overheated in this small mini PC form factor - and yet it offers higher power and speed than a processor like the Atom (found in other mini PCs advertised). I've only sometimes heard some fans activate briefly whenever I've started up this computer. It became warm at most, never hot, and never with constantly spinning fans (because the processor is so energy efficient anyway). So when I looked up the specs surrounding the Intel Celeron processor N3060 at 14nm, I saw it debuted in April of 2015, so it's definitely an older processor. But what I liked was its integrated Intel HD Graphics 400 GPU, which is not powerful enough to handle modern 3D games, but definitely supports 4K/H.265 video acceleration - great for watching HD or 4K movies, youtube videos, and hooking it up to your TV or monitors. I was okay with regular Windows and not Windows Pro, since I believe the only difference between the OS versions is in the security options offered - I'm using this computer mostly for entertainment and basic use anyway. Not for professional needs. It even has an SD card slot to add more storage, plus you can upgrade the SSD (some instructions are in the manual) to get more storage this way too - upgrading storage would allow you to hold more movies and files than the standard 64GB. Especially if it becomes a portable device for you. Speaking of portability, this thing is very light and small to carry around the house. You can attach it via HDMI cable to your TVs or computer monitors to serve as your rapidly expanding and versatile entertainment system for your home. I never realized mini PCs fulfilled that market niche before. Logging into my Windows account was super speedy. Fast set up. Everything was synced on this computer with my Microsoft account and files from One Drive. Initially when I was using the computer, it was a bit laggy and the apps and its windows wouldn't load up fast enough. I thought maybe it was a RAM issue, but then realized all the Windows updates weren't done. I did the Windows 10 updates and the performance of this computer was now in line with what I was expecting. Typing was good, not laggy, too. Videos loaded up much faster in browsers. And I could load multiple windows without the lag of before. So something to keep in mind if the computer is not working optimally at the outset. But don't expect this computer to load all images instantaneously at once like your regular full fledged computer. When Logged in to MS Office, I can do light word processing, it's very convenient. But I noticed that typing on both my wired usb mechanical keyboard and my bluetooth K380 Logitech keyboard in Microsoft Word (on the browser) has created a little bit of lag (noticeable but not impeding my work flow). Maybe it's a Microsoft server issue? However, typing anywhere else, outside the Microsoft server/website, proved to be fine on this computer. I tested both the USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports with my USB-wired mechanical keyboard and it performed fine. I've been watching some Pink Panther videos and nature videos. Very immersive, no lag or breaks in streaming. Super impressed! Highly recommend this mini PC. I think I would have a little bit more peace of mind if there was more RAM, like 8GB, but other than that and ensuring you update your Windows 10, all should work smoothly. Great value and price, so light with a small form factor, plus it has an expandable storage option for storing more movies/files/photos if need be.

Way better than a Pi
I've had this for a year now, and I'm still pleased with the purchase With the price of Raspberry Pis through the roof for the last couple of years, I went on the hunt for an alternative. At 70% the price of a Pi, and significantly better spec’d this was a good choice. My use case is a headless Linux system to serve a few docker images. Initially, set up was a PITA. I installed a fresh instance of Ubuntu server on an SSD and after a few minutes of running it would DDOS itself with an unbreakable stream of errors related to power / ACPI. Tech support responded immediately with instructions that were incorrect and a video that was a couple years old and didn't apply anymore. They never responded again. After turning off all advanced power settings in the bios Ubuntu installed cleanly and everything has been ok. The fan sound is very high pitched and louder than I would like, but it's on a shelf on the other side of my office and I barely notice it now. Performance wise this thing kills the Pi4 8GBs I have running. I can't imagine it would be that good as a desktop system, but as a headless server it rocks. A current search on Amazon shows a RPi4 8gb running at $220 ... Just the board. For $110 I get a PC in a case, running an Intel chip and 64gb of emmc ... for another $50 I can add a decent sized SSD. There is just no comparing the two.

Failed after 10 months, warranty not honored, terrible customer service, DO NOT BUY
This little box has a lot features. I put in 1TB SSD, put Ubuntu on it and it worked great as a little media server. However, it only lasted 10 months. Did not boot anymore, got stuck on the BMAX logo. This seems to be a common problem. I contacted their customer support. I did not expect much, based on experiences of other reviewers, and indeed nothing happened. I threw the B3-plus somewhere in a corner, and moved on to a HP Elitedesk 800 (excellent box btw). Then 4, yes four!, months later I got a reply from Bmax support. After some email exchange and me trying to reset the BIOS etc, all to no avail, the verdict came in: the motherboard is broken. I asked if this is under warranty. The BMAX reply was that this falls under the 1 year warranty, but unfortunately my warranty period had expired 2 months ago. Doh! I explained that my first email was from 4 months ago, so the failure occurred within the warranty period. I sent them a screen shot of the email date and asked them to please sent me a new motherboard. Yeah right. After that, the email exchange went silent, and I have not heard anything for 3 months now. This is by far one of the most dis-honest, sleazy, creepy, slow, crappy companies I have dealt with. I would recommend staying away from this, there are better options available. PS: For those of you that have one: the B3 has two SSD slots, one SATA SSD and one PCI-NVME SSD. However you have to pick either-or, and cannot use them both a the same time.

Value, value, value, it's worth it
So to explain this mini pc as anything other than a fully functional pc is just untrue. This small pc has 3 open storage slots a micro sd, nvme, and 2.5in ssd sata 3 with a total of 4 storage options. Comes with a 128GB nvme installed. If you add a 2.5in ssd you will need your own cable nvme although slightly more expensive per size you won't need anything else. This month I have purchased 2 computers this being the slower cheaper second purchase. The integrated graphics is enough to run OSRS runelite at about 50fps with the gpu option enabled this is the same as my ryzen 3 computer. As expected simple things like osrs run as well as civilizations 6 on medium. I have not yet tested high because it failed to load first time I tried a new game in high settings for memory and gpu. Not necessarily meaning it will not run I had other tabs open and was downloading. Pretty snappy for a basic computer if you are not using this for anything past home office and running emulators or xbox 360 era games you will be fine. I don't believe this computer was meant in any way to be a game station but im sure many readers are more interested in the limitations rather than the praise. I would not buy this unit if you wish to upgrade the memory or add anything other than storage. The unit has 8GB Ram at a speed of 2133MHz not the fastest for DDR4 but it is acceptable for basic to light tasks. The unit has 4 usb ports two of them 2.0 and two of them 3.0. This unit is not a big multi tasker but you can use your internet browser as well as other programs at the same time within reason. I had to restart one time with installing 12 games and a few programs with initial setup. The unit only had 3 programs enabled to run at startup which is bloatware free as it gets with computers now a days. Unit is fairly snappy getting things done loading this or that. Much better than my hp pavilion all in one that was new in 2014 but not as snappy as my ryzen 3 3200u laptop. The graphics in my pictures are running the unit off a tv and not a monitor so the display is not going to be the same on a real monitor it would be much better. This unit would make an excellent work from home device for a home office or a business to swap out older pcs that run cash register programs or basic business programs. Takes up much less space and more realistic in a setting where the computer will always be used for the same basic purposes. I would definitely recommend purchasing these mini pcs for a fleet purchase for business offices or similar need. Bluetooth and wifi built in USB C also on front of device. This is not a gaming rig or 4k video editing system. I would not buy this unit if I was planning on upgrading the CPU or Memory (possible to soldier new memory but vast waste of time and effort). Upon testing the multi tasking I was able to run the binding of isaac game slightly laggy while having open google chrome running a YouTube video, xbox console app open and running, discord open and running as well as the steam app. I hope this is enough information for someone deciding what to do. Xbox one controller pairs with unit instantly with usb cable like all windows 10 systems.

Really Impressive Mini PC
Desktop PC stopped working and did not want to spend a lot on a new system right now so decided to try a Mini PC. Tried to avoid Intel for several reasons, but AMD options were rather limited so after researching came across the BMAX line. Settled on the B2 Plus as the processor utilized is an Intel Celeron J4115 that does not have hyper-threading which means far less security flaws. Anyway, for the price the B2 Plus offers a superior CPU and more Memory/Storage then other Mini PCs offered for sale on Amazon and also comes with Windows 10 Pro (most come with Home). Lots of options for expandable storage by adding a M.2 NVMe or replacing the 128GB SSD M.2 for a larger one, you can purchase the $10 SATA cable (sold in their store) to add a 2.5" HDD. The built in MicroSD card reader is really convenient as are the built in speakers. Boots quickly and applications load up fast, web surfing is great and I am able to watch 4K videos on YouTube without issue. Don't expect to play the latest AAA games with maxed out settings though. Games like Supreme Commander run well enough when you lower the settings and older games like Total Annihilation, Diablo and Diablo II run great. Only complaint is would have been nice to feature a dedicated headphone and microphone jack rather then 2-in-1 because most the adapters seem to not work that well. Overall I am very happy with the purchase and think you will be surprised by the price/performance as well.

Great for basic daily use, I recommend the warranty
For the money, this was a decent little PC. I bought it for my husband 13 months ago. About 4-6 weeks ago, the HDMI ports started to fail. It has 3. At first, moving the cord from one to another helped. A few days ago, when the monitor signal blinked out, no amount of fiddling would restore it. We tried a new cord, and the monitor is less than a month old. In the end, I ended up claiming the warranty that I purchased with the PC. We're getting back the full purchase price as an Amazon credit (be sure to read the fine print when getting a warranty!) As it is, I feel we did get our money's worth. At a hundred and a half, the price at the time, a year is a decent run for a computer that's used daily and is literally always on. My husband used it to play Minecraft, watch television and people streaming on Twitch, and video call as well as surfing the web. It has plenty of USB ports, was super simple to set up and get running, and runs well for basic daily use. I don't think it'd run a heavier-graphics game or other software, but for basic, everyday use it was a great little computer.

Massive power for the price and size!!!
This new processor does have some downfalls. Check your vpn to make sure that you can use it on the mini. My surfshark will not work with it. Funny because it works with everything else that I have used it with. As for the computer itself it is awesome especially given it's size. I use it for my CNC machine and it has all the power and functions that I need. I have a wireless keyboard and mouse that work fine with it. It hooked right into my network and also paired with my phone with no problems. If you are looking for a mini computer that takes up minimum space give it a try. The price is right.

A great little hard drive.
This was exactly what I was looking for. I use it connected to the living room television. I use streaming apps and download shows and movies and it's perfect. Small enough to sit beside my gaming console and out of site. Highly recommended.
