The Diswoe controllers initially seemed like a decent budget-friendly alternative, but after extended use, their flaws make them almost unusable for serious gaming. ⸻ ✅ Pros (Still True): • Good Connectivity – Pairs easily via Bluetooth and reconnects reliably after sleep. • Battery Life – Still impressive, lasting around 8 hours on a single charge and taking about 3 hours to recharge. • Very Affordable – Around £16 for two, making them tempting for families or casual local multiplayer. ⸻ ❌ Cons (Updated & Critical Issues): • Binary Analog Sticks – The sticks don’t offer proper analog range; they behave almost like digital buttons. Fine movement control is impossible in racing or stealth games. • Triggers with Huge Dead Zones – L2/R2 barely register gradual input. They may as well be on/off buttons. • Cheap Feel – Hollow, lightweight plastic that feels like a toy compared to the solid DualShock 3. • Small in the Hands – Slightly smaller than the official controller, uncomfortable for larger hands. • Rumble Interferes with Sixaxis – Vibration throws off motion control accuracy. • Overall Precision is Awful – Input latency is surprisingly okay, but when the controls themselves are inaccurate, that doesn’t matter. ⸻ ⚖️ Final Verdict (Revised): The Diswoe PS3 controllers are not worth the money, even at £16 for two. While the battery life and Bluetooth connection hold up, the lack of proper analog control and massive dead zones make them practically useless for any game that requires finesse. Spend more for an official DualShock 3 or a reputable alternative. ⸻ ✅ Recommended Alternative: I recently invested in the Brook Wingman XE2 adapter and an official PS4 DualShock 4 controller. This setup works perfectly on PS3, offering proper analog control, rumble support, and a premium feel. I strongly recommend this over cheap third-party controllers. ⸻ Edit – 20/08/2025 After further use, the analog and trigger issues are so severe that this controller drops from a 4/5 to a 1/5.
