This 4-piece set was cheaper than just buying 2 of the 4x4 boxes when I purchased them. The only downside to the plastic is if they are used outside, the plastic will get brittle over time. Otherwise, they work great.

I used these boxes to built switch boxes for my river fishing boat. All I had to do was drill a 3/4" hole on the front cover for the rocker switches and 1/2" holes on the ends for the power wires. These boxes have a great seal making them water proof.

I really liked these boxes for my all sky camera project, until after some rain and the screws that hold the lid down rusted. The inside was dry. The gasket seal does a good job there. I just don’t have confidence that the screws will last and worry that they may result in damage down the road. I am going to see if I can find replacement screws because the project boxes are nice otherwise. The screws I used for the dome I added did not rust, but the screws that came with this product and hold it together did.
