Yes, you can use this on the interior and exterior of the grill surface. We however do not recommend using it on aluminum or faux stainless steel.

Can you use this on gas stove grates?

This product would not be recommended for the grates on a gas stove.

Yes, this should work well for griddles and flat tops.

Which is more powerful? grill and grate or oven and grill?

If you're using Goo Gone for your outdoor grill, I would use the grill & grate. That's what I use and it works very well. The 'oven and grill' would be useful for an indoor oven.
