grip and jaw strength is 100% to spec
I will admit, I have quiete a few workpro tools and I have always really been satisfied with the quality, price and durability of those tools. So I said for the price and design of this tool and I was in need of something with a nose with more bite and I spent some time finding it. This was the ticket. This tool helped me removed staples, 1/4 staples from a staple gun embedded into pine and holy cow these pliers got 85% of those staples without the use of a another tool to create space. So for functionality to do exactly what I had hoped for and to help with thise rounded screws (not star drive) embedded into hardwood like oak and yes it does the job on those tool. I wish these were long nose pliers but I wont gripe because everything i tested with this tool performed flawless. PS Ignore the complaints about this tool being to stiff. That's because in the factory when they press it, the use some sort of grease, its a small amount but its enough that it oozes out and people thinks it's rust. Its not rust its grease. This wont take long but work to the tool with your hands for about 20 minutes and the grease will start to come out. Then apply silicone oil to that and work the tool and wipe the grease away. If you do this with the right silicone oil when you hold the tool upright the tool will fall open like the more expensive brands.

True Problem Solver
Nothing else I tried would remove the stripped screws. As soon as I applied pressure, I got a good grip on the screws and they came right out. Absolutely money well spent.

Powerful and precise — a must-have for any toolbox
The WORKPRO 8” Linesman PRO Screw Extractor is outstanding. It grips and removes stubborn screws and bolts with ease, even ones that have been stripped or rusted for years. The design is solid, the handle feels comfortable, and the extractor itself is extremely durable.

Extract this.
I picked up the WORKPRO 8" Linesman PRO Screw Extractor Pliers mainly for stripped and rusted fasteners, and they’ve been surprisingly effective. The non-slip jaws grip extremely well—much better than standard lineman pliers—and they bite into rounded or damaged screw heads without slipping. I was able to remove several stubborn screws that a regular screwdriver and pliers couldn’t handle. Overall they are decent extractor pliers. For the price, these are a very handy addition to any toolbox, whether you’re a DIYer or working on home repairs. Definitely worth having around.

Great pliers for Fire Fighters
As a firefighter I keep a pair of these in my structure and wildland gear. The design is the best for a multiuse plier. Whether grabbing fasteners or cutting battery cables.

Great Tool - Would Buy Again!
Bought the WORKPRO 8" Linesman PRO Screw Extractor Pliers in August to help removed rusted screws on the siding on our Boat House down on the Texas Coast on the Gulf of Americas. The screws had been exposed to the salt water and were very corroded. These pliers did an awesome job of grabbing the stripped heads and removing the screws that could not be removed any other way. The pliers were exposed to the salt water during the repair work and the medal has held up very well against the corrosion from the salt water. This tool is well worth the $ spend and should last a log time. Would buy again!
