Very sturdy and work great

I used these brackets to put in a fold down desk in our bedroom for my wife to use when she works from home. So far, they have been VERY stable when open, easy to install, and easy to close. For the desktop, I used an old 2' x 4' pine panel that I cut down to size (about 40'' wide) and affixed it to the brackets using some bolts and threaded inserts. While the top isn't that heavy (under 50 pounds), the whole assembly feels very solid. I did sit on the desk as well and I weigh about 165 pounds and there was almost minimal to no deflection so that says something!Very happy so far and will update if something changes!

So this is the second set of folding brackets I have purchased and installed on a folding table next to my washer/dryer. The first set was about $20 less for the pair, and - while I had high hopes - they were too good to be true. These are in a different class altogether. Where the first set weighs about 2 pounds each, these weigh easily 5 pounds each. The wall-mount side has 5 mounting holes (the other had three), the release latch is right at the very end of these brackets, which is so much nicer than the others (where the catch was 6 inches into the middle of the bracket, making it fussy to reach and collapse). The first set could not hold even basic weight, and the side structures bent - BENT! - allowing the bracket to have no support, causing the shelf to lean forward. Ridiculous. There simply is no comparison - and still an incredible value. These are so strong, so easy to install. What a great product! Very happy with these.

These brackets are very heavy duty, and arrived quickly & undamaged. Sadly, these were too bulky & thick for our needs BUT, I would say if you need a large/heavier table top, I would highly recommend these. I did end up returning & swapping for sligtly smaller brackets.....

The best work bench is one that folds down!! Keeps the top from collecting STUFF! Easy and so far very safe to use. Lined up two sets with a small gap between for cutting. It is in the garage and I have to drop them down to get the car in. Mandatory work top organizer! My wife LOVES IT!

I wanted to try these for my 28*48 out feed table on the table saw. The mechanism works great, it seems more than sturdy enough, overall does exactly what I needed.

The bracket is thick and heavy it says it will hold over 500lbs. I believe it after installing the brackets and putting a butcher block counter top on it. It was installed in the garage as a temporary workbench but after using it for several months, I am keeping it there as a space saving workbench. It is a beast, I needed to reach something high that caught fire and didn't have time to grab the ladder so I climbed up on the shelf to knock down the flame.The shelf brackets held my weight and didn't even flinch with my 225 lbs standing on it. No problems after that either as they closed right up and opened up smoothly. Would definitely buy again and probably will be soon, as I am expanding the reloading room and will need some heavier duty shelves for the ammo components.
