Extra Large High Density Yoga Mat 85" x 36"

This is the second large yoga mat I have purchased off amazon. My other one was starting to fall apart so I decided to give this one a try. I just received it and so far I am impressed. The size gives me plenty of room To move around into different positions, but what I like the most is the quality. This mat is advertised as high density and it really makes a difference. The mat doesn’t move around when doing my flow which is a big change from my experiences with previous yoga mats. I would recommend this mat to anyone that wants a little more room for their practice.

As a big guy myself (6'7") I struggle with small mats because they don't allow me to fully get into poses, especially downdog or anything on the floor. This mat is HUGE and makes me realize how limiting my previous mats have been. The quality is also fantastic. I'm a yoga teacher and love this mat's stickyness and padding. Great for anyone looking for a big, quality mat.

This is a really nice mat! It feels very well made and offers a solid amount of grip for holding those stretches or yoga poses that your body might try and push back at. I am 6'1" and 180lbs male. The size of the mat is great and offers ample room for a taller person. I have been doing crossfit for about 1.5 years and stretch daily after my workouts. Although my mobility has improved over time, I still have some notable deficiencies in my mobility that i am currently addressing. I'm about 1 month into a morning yoga/stretching/breathing routine and have a few mobility issues that don't play well with the thinner, high density, mat. Primarily, the lack of ankle mobility for the common saddle position is still very painful for me. Think, pressure point pain on the top of my feet. I would also like to mention that the mat does have a distinct smell that has not lessened in the 7-10 days I've had the mat. It's not horrible, but could be off putting to someone with a strong sense of smell. Due to my own personal issues, I will be returning the mat. I would still highly recommend this mat to anyone looking for some extra room to spread out.

I wanted an extra large surface that would support me and allow me to move around without stepping off my mat (I use the PiYo workout dvds). This is perfect - it is rather heavy but it is exactly what I wanted and needed. The price is very reasonable, it is high quality, and the shipping was both fast and well packaged. I love it!

This is a really nice mat but it is way too big and heavy. Would only suggest to purchase if you plan to leave it in the same place all the time.

I have a Manduka Pro and a Jade Harmony but I purchased the Giraffe because of its size. I have some bone spurs on my knees and low back so I need a dense mat. I didn't know what to expect for the low price of the Giraffe mat compared to the prices of my other two mats but decided to get the Giraffe a shot. Well, now my go-to mat is the Giraffe and my other two mats are collecting dust. It has more density than the Manduka but it is still very sticky. Like all new mats it took a short while to break in but with some rock salt, sunshine, and a little use it was cured. Never had a slip issue after the first day of use. If you're not sure, just buy this mat it is an outstanding buy at this price. A real five-star​ yoga mat.

The mat itself is very heavy and large. If you keep it at the gym it is fine, but I need to carry it 2 city blocks and it is long and heavy and does not come with any type of bag or even straps.

material was greasy and had a very strong plastic oder. be warned returning it is costing me $12.30.
