Bring one quart of purified water to a boil and mix into the coconut flour. Cover crock pot and cook on Low Heat for 2-1/2 hours, stirring once. Remove lid and let ingredients cool. Strain ingredients through a nylon "Nut-Milk" bag, gently squeezing. Pour the liquid into a glass jar and refrigerate. Compost the coconut pulp. This recipe makes about 1 quart of sweet-tasting coconut milk. Micro fiber will eventually fall to the bottom of the jar, so stir before drinking.To clean the Nut-Milk bag after use, wash out the fiber under a kitchen faucet. Fill a 3-quart pan half-full with purified water and add the bag. Boil the bag for ten minutes, flipping the bag over after five minutes. Top notch fine flour (powder of dried coconut) smells heavenly and you can use in your cookie or other recipes. I find I can just add about 2 heaping TBS in place of some flour to my regular choc chip cookie recipe or peanut butter for added flavor and fiber. I have also added into my homemade pound cake recipes. And here I have compensated by adding a tad more liquid in the way of egg or sour creme etc to keep the moistness. I would highly recommend this product. So glad it's organic too. Quite a nice size bag even for me, as much as I bake. I'm sure you can add this powder to some smoothie drinks for a great boost of flavor and fiber. I did try a few of the coconut flour recipes but found they were too dense and chalky/fibery for my tastebuds. I'm into sweet treats that taste good, so that's why I am having success adding just a little here and there.
