I’ve just tested the unit with my dishwasher only, and although I find the unit well constructed, it leaks from where the white plastics connector goes into the clear plastic body (hence the 4stars), this can be easily remedied by unscrewing the unit and either wrapping PTFE tape around the treaded part, or by giving it a wipe with a silicone mastic. Just tested the unit using my washing machine only, as the water discharged the seal worked perfectly no letting water by or leaks. Didn’t need to carry out a test as to when both washing machine and dishwasher washer are on, as mentioned, my dishwasher drain only stays open when it is turned off. I find that this is by far the best unit available for the problem I needed to solved, even with the leak (which at best is a minor inconvenience to fix).
