Whole Millet - Good Product And Value.
You get a lot for the price. 2kg of whole millet for about £7 (activating subscription...then cancelling after delivery, obvs). I also got 2kg of whole sorghum from the same dealer. Both, supposedly, contain a lot of fibre and protein, so are meant to be healthy (although exercise is actually healthy, not just eating LOL). 2kg would fill half a loaf of bread bag, or so, and you only need half a cup if making 10 litres of soup. Expiry date was 1½ years. Smells a bit pissy when boiling, which is at least ½ an hour (sorghum is at least 1 hour - soak in some water in your soup pot overnight to speed this up, maybe), but the pissy smell wasn't introduced to the soup I made. When bitten into millet does have a bitter centre (sorghum even more so, as it's larger) - it has the taste and texture of chewing tiny tomato seeds (possibly reduced by longer cooking). Millet is slightly better than Sorghum in most ways, mostly because it's a smaller seed (2.5mm vs 5mm when boiled), but otherwise they're very similar (you may prefer barley, as it has no bitterness and is about 7.5mm boiled - or even just use porridge oats - I use all these in the same soup - I haven't tried brown rice in soup, but that's another alternative). Supposedly, you can make 'popcorn' from sorghum - although why anyone would want small popcorn is a mystery - not sure if millet does the same, but it'd be even more pointless. This is a 5 star product - I took a mark off for sorghum for the negative reasons listed above.

Exceptionally delicious porridge
I soak it for a night, add a piece of cinnamon stick, anis star and a pinch of nutmeg powder, and cook for an hour under a lid, stir while cooking. To make it more creamy, add cold water and add small amounts of cold water during cooking. If you want it fluffy, add hot water. Enjoy the flavour.

NOT GLUTEN FREE
Yes, millets are natually gluten free, but these are handled in a factory that also handles cereals, including gluten containing ones, so by no means can this be called gluten free legally. Other than this, tastes okay.
