First off we put these things on and they were tight. Now the plastic head band does not adjust like most headphones. What you adjust are the wire that attaches to the earcups. Just hold the cups and pull the wires out until you get the desired length. That's where all the adjustment is. We turned up the tv pretty loud and couldn't hear anything. We spoke loudly at each other and couldn't make out any words. These things really do the trick, goodbye noise. The sound quality is no sound. They are comfortable and the ear cups are a bigger than ear cups on my stereo headphones, these include my entire ear. Update' there is only one drawback to these, the headband doesn't swivel so that you move it out of the way to wear a hat. That is important when using them outside using a blower/vac, or any noisey tool.

Wow, I went from an old 26dB headset to this new 34dB headset, and the more reduced noise reduction was instantly noticeable. I'm not sure if I could hear someone talking or not, because I use these for mowing and trimming. They look good and are constructed well. I got 2 pairs of these for the same price as my old 1 pair.

They work well and are fairly comfortable. I've slept in them before, even to get away from my son's snoring when he slept in bed with us sometimes. Not the most comfortable I've ever used, but for the price, they are good. I mostly use them for mowing the lawn and trimming the hedges. They provide good noise protection. I would not recommend it if you have a very large head, as someone I once worked with had. I'm medium/large sized headwise, and they are snug on me. You can adjust them, but I felt my head size was the max extension comfortably. They cover average-sized ears as well. If you are endowed with a big head and big ears, get something else. The pair has good value, and after months of use, I haven't had an issue. If something is too loud, use double hearing protection by using these over-foam plugs. I'd give them a 4.5 if Amazon allowed half points.
