I am a chef and I store my knives in a metal tool box. These guards keep fingers safe when not in use . Also they protect the blades edges from dulling while rolling around a metal box. All 5 of my knives of various sizes and thicknesses have a sheath with this set.

These are the guards to buy. They are not too tight and they look good too. There is a felt like lining that protects from scratches and the selection is good in this set. The only one I find useless is the smallest one but that's because I don't travel with a pairing knife. Only thing I could say as a warning is the 8" guards are a bit short for 8" knives but the 10" fit them perfectly. No worries I have a 6" and a 7" that these fit in perfectly. The 12" may not fit a slicer depending on the curve of the knife. Great purchase overall. Note: I purchased the Ergo Chef guards and was highly disappointed in them, they scratched my expensive Japanese knives. Stay away

These work great and protect my expensive knife edges. Easy to install and the look like they will last a long time.

These are good knife guards, there is a lot to choose from. I did all of my knives in my knife roll and had a few left over to give to a friend. There has been the comment that one side is angled and the other is straight. Most of my knives are Zwilling Pro and they have a sloped bolster which I really like, the straight side of the guard sort of limits how far you can put the guard in. For a couple of my knife guards I took a Dremel with a cut off bit and cut the straight side down to match closer to the other slanted side. You can see that in the photo with the 2 knives. The photo with the 3 knives you can see the Mercer knife guard for the cleaver, the thing I like about the Everpride brand is the inside is lined with a flocking or felt like material. This makes it easier to slide on, and off, the knife. The Mercer is just all plastic and it sticks to the knife, making it very hard to get off. If I didn't have to cut down the one side of the guard I would have given this 5 stars.

Love these sheaths. Use these for my professional knives. They seem durable and still use the over 3 years later.

The variety in this set it awesome - I was able to cover a full set of Cutco knives with varying lengths and widths. I also appreciate that they're hard; makes them easy to transport and feels safer with little kids around.

These look good with a solid black color. The multi pack comes with a bunch of sizes which is helpful. They are durable quality and easy to hold and insert the knife. Overall worth buying.

I felt like this product was a good value and had the quality I needed. I live in an apartment and my kitchen has one drawer and limited counter space. I did not want a butcher block. I had my knives professionally sharpened and now I do not have to worry about them getting knicks in the blade when I put them in a drawer. I did have to adjust the length of most of the covers...I scored both sides with a box knife and gently bent the cover back and forth until it snapped along the score. I then sanded down the rough edge with a dremmel like rotary sander. Worked great.

These are perfect! They do exactly what I want them to (which is cover my knives). I was sceptical that they may be a finicky or low quality, but they have a nice fit and finish and are easy to slip knives in and out of. The felted lining is a nice touch, and they stay on the knives very well. You get a good value with this multi-pack instead of buying individuals. Also, if you dont have a 10 inch knife for example, you can cut the sleeve down to fit another 8 inch (if you're a crafty person).
