Review: Great Tent more than worth the asking price - Very happy with this small 1 man tent. Comes supplied with 3x fiberglass(?) poles that slide slide into the "bottom sheet" this quickly creates the base frame for the tent and is quick and intuitive to erect. The bottom sheet create an inner layer or soft shell to the tent with some parts having mesh 'windows' I assume to allow air to circulate and prevent condensation. Once the main poles have been inserted into this bottom sheet or the "top sheet" is thrown over the top and is secured in place by 4 clips on each corner. This provides the waterproof outer layer. I take a semi-educated guess that the layer of air between to the bottom and top sheets will have some thermal heat retainment properties but I am not scientist! The over all quality and build is great and I have used this twice out in the field (no pun!) once in quite heavy rain. Its strong, warm and durable. This is not a toy or a play tent its the real deal. Not sure its of "professional" standards but I am not looking to climb any mountains any time soon.

I am a keen wildlife Photographer, and need to be as incognito as possible, hiding as much from humans as the animals. Erecting this tent is Simple... just view the one page instruction slip and everything is obvious. Only if you are expecting some windy conditions might you use all the pegging/guy points. Its a well made tent, with good quality zips, and excellent ventilation. Superb in the rain, and quick drying. I used the small side vestibule for my camping gaz rocket stove and to leave shoes and hang socks. It is certainly not big enough for my 60ltr Rucksack. At 60 years old, weight always plays a part, so I have to mention, its the poles and pegs that make up the majority of this tents weight. The pole are Fibre Glass, and the Pegs Steel. The main cons for me though are these... not quite wide enough, another 9inch to a foot would improve it dramatically ... and the same thing with hight. Whilst I like its low profile, getting dressed/undressed is nearly impossible because you cannot sit up!! So like I said... Almost perfect for me. I cannot grumble at the price.. good value for money. My rucksack ended up folded at the top end of the tent behind my head/pillow. During the rain I had to lay down the whole time because its impossible for the smallest of us to sit up. At least I was warm, and totally dry.

**Q: 13 pegs ?how easy to set up. I'm undecided about this or a pop up design**
A: It's pretty easy theres only 3 poles 2 are long and 1 is short, the short one goes across the middle and the long ones go front to back... its very easy to set up and much more compact vs a popup.

**Q: Is this tent single or double skinned / layered i.e does it have a seperate outer and inner shell? Many thanks!**
A: Its double  skinned. The inside skin can be used on its own in hot wether with netted ventilation to stop bugs. For the money its quite good.

**Q: Do they do a ally pole version of this?**
A: You can buy aluminium poles off amazon and cut them down to size easily i did it when i bought the tent i also fabsiled the fly seam sealed the seals changed the pegs to aluminium changed the guy ropes and sowed in a few extra peg out points its a great looking tent but spending a few pounds upgrading is well worth it and gives greater peace of mind

Very happy with this small 1 man tent. Comes supplied with 3x fiberglass(?) poles that slide slide into the "bottom sheet" this quickly creates the base frame for the tent and is quick and intuitive to erect. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great value

I'll admit I didn't have high hopes, but I was really chuffed with it once it was up. It went up in a fraction of the time I expected, first go. Surprisingly spacious. I'm quite big, and I'd probably fit my girlfriend in with me too. I was surprisingly well insulated even with the vents/windows open. I was cool in the hot day and it kept the chill out over the cold night. German engineering never ceases to amaze. The net layers/panels are of decent quality, as are the more opaque parts. I didn't wake up to dew all over the inside, which is a big thumbs up for a budget tent IMHO. I didn't really test how waterproof it is, but there was a bit of spitting and I was dry. If I was forced to pick a hole... the bag's a bit on the snug side. I had a little trouble getting it back in, but I was rushing, I didn't fold it up properly, and it still went in with a bit of wiggling anyway. It is a budget tent, don't get me wrong, but it's definitely the one that'll stay strapped to my rucksack. Even if I need to bring a bigger one for multiple people I'll probably set this one up just for myself as well.
