Love it
Wanted to have easy access to my bath tub. This definitely filled the bill. My son installed it with little problems. Love it. We did not want to spent $10,000 plus remodel.

Great product and worth the price for sure!
Great product and pretty easy installation. Bought this for my 97 year old motherโs tub. We watched the video and read the diy instructions a few times and were prepared. It was unpacked and installed in 2.5 hoursโฆmuch faster than we expected. It was a steel tub, so pretty messy but clean up went well. Mom is thrilled!

Great product but complicated install
Installation took much longer than anticipated and was more complicated than anticipated. The final result came out good, but this is not a project for someone not experienced with unforeseen construction complications and customizing things. This is a product that requires the ability to analyze and identify if a typical way of installing this will work for your application parameters. I used to own and operate a remodeling company, and I would recommend most people to hire a trusted handyman or remodeler to install it. Other than that, this is a great product. My 68 y/o father has mobility issues and had trouble getting in and out of the tub. They could not afford a new ADA/handicap friendly shower remodel. This was a great affordable alternative that made it much easier for him to get in and out by himself.

Installed for my mother-in-law!
My mother-in-law fell trying to get into her tub over a year ago. She just canโt raise her leg that high anymore. Sheโs in VA and weโre in CA so it took a bit to get her on the schedule. I purchase the product, shipped it to her house, and checked my tools in luggage on the plane (jigsaw, drill, caulking gun, tape, gloves vinyl & leather). The installation videos really helped. The only issue I ran into was the spacers for the step with 2x4 installed was too short. Had to get 4x4 from lumberyard instead. Cutting the pattern onto the step took lots and lots of measuring. The tub front and top had profiles that were hard to line up from side to side. And the cutting was super messy. Should have done that outdoors or in a garage. And I never heard of โflammingโ the cut edge, so another trip to Lowes for propane torch. I spent more time heating the edge than on video to make sure it softened & smoothed out the cut surface. The caulking step was an absolute bear, but with silicone I expected that. Just used lots of paper towels to remove excess material. Had to buy a longer shower curtain (76โ) which is hard to find (think Amazon!). Overall took me about 6 hours with trips to Lowes and lumberyard-and Iโm very handy (your results may vary). At the end of day, product was relatively easy, looks great, and should solve Momโs access issue.

WOW saved $$$$$$
Very easy install. Took husband 4 hours total from start to clean up. Good item. Love Love Love this item. Saved us alot of money as a redo of our shower would have cost $20K. Work slow and steady and view YouTube videos to prepare for the installation.

Awesome construction!
This is the most amazing product! I am a 60+ woman with back problems and I was still able to install this insert with consulting assistance from my husband. It took almost 8 hours to install with frequent rest stops, but the time was well spent. Donโt rush installing this, it is worth every minute. As I said, I have an ongoing back condition, so getting out of the tub after a shower was risking a fall anytime. Not any more! At this time a tub replacement was not even a consideration, hard to find and too expensive so the insert was an excellent plan. Pay attention to the tools you will need and you shouldnโt have any problems, planning is the key.

installation is "interesting"...
The purpose of cutting out the tub is to help ensure no slip and fall accidents for my Mother when she gets in and out of what previously was a tub and is now a shower... a low step with multiple hand grab bars and a shower seat all add to the mix as does a NON SLIP shower matt... and with all this she should have a safe shower to use in her home... Installation involves skilled use of a jig saw (I used it on an angle)... and it involves the creation of a foundation from the floor level between the cut tub walls to the bottom of the insert.. I was VERY careful with both the insert preparation and the foundation and both came out perfectly but I would suggest that the level of difficulty is sufficient that most home owners are going to seek experienced installers unless they are both handy and proficient with tools and variations.. for instance the foundation had to be built around a structural cross member in the tub... I did this.. cutting a notch in a piece of wood to transit the structure...

Glad to have bought and installed it, but it's not without some install issues
We bought and installed this so that our dogs, 1 of whom is getting older and 1 is disabled with severe double hip dysplasia, could get into and out of the bath with much less pain and struggle. Works perfectly for that. We aren't DIYers and install was a bit of a cluster#$)@ but nothing got ruined so it's a win. The instructions have steps that left us wonder WTH we were supposed to do and "winged it". Rather chaotic but made it work. If you're handy, you'll be fine. One thing to note is the 2 tubes of glue/caulking - it's a great, fantastic glue. It's absolutely horrendous for caulking. We made such a mess, there was no way to do it neatly. Ended up having to clean it all off with paint thinner and reapply, and it still looks rough and not ideal. If we'd known, we would have gotten real caulking and used that. It's so thick it doesn't spread at all, just kind of mushes into place. Since this tub repair is only to tide of over for a few years until we completely redo the bathroom to be walk in, I'm not overly stressed about it. But most people will care, so be mindful that the glue/caulking sucks as caulking.
