The journal is a great companion to the book. If a true beginner the beginner book is a better place to start and he provides a training plan for your training.

This has been so helpful for my training! So many great ideas. I’ve been a runner for a long time but am new to triathlon. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Charts and Structure

I have not read the other editions of this book. The information, formatting, and structure of this edition are of good quality. However, I think the charts for estimating weekly TSS for running and swimming are missing from this edition. I should not be required to dig for this information online. Other than that, great book so far.
