This thing will take your breath away and keep doing it every time you walk back into the room.
I'm a little overwhelmed. I'm a computer "guru" when it comes to tech specs and hardware and what have you, but I've always just kind of "skimped" on monitors because they were always very expensive components (and after getting hammered with a video card, if you're a poor boy like me, you just do with what you can). An old colleague, professor, and very good friend gifted me with a 27 inch monitor years ago and I thought "This is it. This is the pinnacle of monitors." Never had want or need of one again.. until recently. Long story short, got a dim spot in my favorite 27" monitor and just "lived with it" for as long as possible. Finally broke down, read reviews, compared monitors, blah blah, and found the LG monitor a few #'s before this one (as this one had very few reviews). Nearly went with it, but decided to "gamble" and got this one. Astonishing. Breathtaking. I can't believe how much bigger it is, how much brighter it is (I even dimmed mine by about 20% because it's SO vibrant), how much more crystal clear it is, it's literally my favorite thing about my PC now (a PC that I've built over several years, with the best processor, the best memory, the best hard drives, the best video cards, you name it). I just can't get over it. It's like having an entirely new computer. Games look better, movies look astounding, YouTube looks better than Dish/Cable TV! Netflix/Jessica Jones season 2 is just.. bonkers. And every time I come into my office and I look at my desk, that was once half filled with a 27" and now 100% full to the brim with this crazy ultra wide. UGH it's just to die for. Kingdom Come: Deliverance with the 90 FOV mod is just o_O WOA. It can do the 100 FOV but it looks more realistic and I mean REALISTIC with 90. I can't say anything more. This monitor is brilliant. Someday when I get a bigger house and a bigger desk, I might by a 2nd one. 100000% recommended to everyone!

Great monitor for productivity
I searched and reviewed monitors for quite some time before selecting this one, and its perfect for my use case. I typically use it for productivity tasks where I can view multiple files and websites at once. I don't use it for gaming. While reviewing I found there are just so many monitors available it can be overwhelming, so I've listed out the main reasons why this monitor stands out. 1. IPS screen Great viewing angles. I purchased a Samsung 34" but those are actually VA panels, so on a widescreen unless you sit far back, you will get a lot of distortion when looking left and right since the monitor is so wide. So IPS is really a must have for widescreen monitors and this one has it. 2. Resolution This is a complicated topic. While on Windows you can change the scale (different from the resolution), this is only supported for certain monitors on a Mac and appears as scale rather than resolution (they munge both together on Mac). That means with a 4k screen if scaling isn't supported for your monitor, everything is insanely tiny and unreadable on a Mac. While you can get some programs that hack to try and support scaling, it seems to be hit or miss and they might stop support in the future. So on a Mac the resolution of this monitor is HD and is actually perfect for me, not too big and not too small being HD resolution. I also got a QHD 34" before this and text also is quite tiny, and if you change the resolution to HD, it looks quite bad since it isn't the monitor's native resolution. This is HD natively, so everything looks good at that resolution. If I had Windows though I might consider going for a higher resolution monitor and use the scaling function, but then the price rises dramatically. Basically HD for this monitor is 2560x1080, QHD for the same size is 3440x1440. They don't seem to make 4k 34" but LG has a 34" 5k that would be 5120x2160. That one does support scaling on Mac however but it is very expensive. 3. Adjustable stand w/Vesa The monitor stand is adjustable so you can change the height. However I did find the platform sticks out in front of the monitor quite a bit so I'm purchasing an arm instead. It does support Vesa though so you can add your own which is a must. 4. Brightness This monitor does 300 cd/m² which is typically brighter than anyone would want to look at. There are a lot of monitors in this price range that only do 250, which may be too dim. 5. Speakers While not a must have, I was surprised to find the speakers to actually be quite decent and not as obtrusive as having left and right computer speakers. 6. Form factor The bezels are quite thin and the monitor overall has a sleek and minimalist look. I don't really like the stand but it is definitely sturdy and handles movement very smoothly.

Amazing for Home Office Use! No regrets except not having bought this sooner!
I went from a 27 inch secondary monitor to this and the extra real estate is like having another monitor screen, in terms of productivity and multitasking. I do a LOT of Office Suite type work, in small font, and the text and the images are crisp even for my increasingly middle-aged eyes. I am very pleased about this purchase and it is life changing in terms of saving my time and lowering my frustration level around navigating windows. Because I saw a negative review around video, I popped onto Youtube and Netflix to take this for a spin. I thought the sound was fine, but if you want Bose speakers you should definitely do that separately. Really, no complaints whatsoever. And I might not be a tech nerd, but my brother who works in IT who happened to be over while I set this up, was similarly impressed at the quality of the picture and assumed it was more than 1080p to accommodate the size of the screen. Nope! What a steal. Thanks for another winner LG!

Glad I took a chance.
I rolled the dice and bought this used as new from Amazon warehouse. The savings were significant. The only tiny problem was a few fingerprints, but. the service menu had less than an hour of power on time. Also came in the original packaging. Now to the monitor itself. My goal was replacing a pair of BenQ 22" 1080p screens with one screen, and this did the job. However, there is one thing to be concerned with if you're a gamer. The screen is a 16:10 aspect ratio and an odd resolution which many (older) games do not like. You may need to create custom configuration files and tweak many games for full screen. For professional use, it's great. You can have a pair of application windows open side by side without compromise. LG supplies some software that helps you carve up the screen into different configurations, which can be helpful. My only minor complaint is the backlight is somewhat uneven. On a black screen, there is some flashlighting, so in darker old games you won't get much black detail despite hdr10 support. I guess I'm spoiled by oled screens having perfect lighting per pixel. But for the size and the price it's an acceptable trade off. Including the no problem, snap and lock mount for the stand, this is simple to set up out of the box. It is big but not heavy. I got the white model and that meant white everything including the power supply and the hdmi cable which makes it look more modern. Overall, this is somewhat niche but if you are clear with what you need, then this is a good fit. It's all about screen real estate, and it does that very well. As I look around the house, I see more and more LG logos, and that's no accident. Good quality, with the right features, at the right price.

I'll Never Use Dual Monitors Again
I've had this monitor for about a year. Ever since, I've been wondering how I managed to deal with the dual monitor and monitor stand setup I had for so longer before that. I need 2 screens and really 3 would be better. Even a nice monitor stand is just clunky to attach to the backs of 2 monitors and position comfortably. Transporting it in such condition is a bigger hassle. I absolutely LOVE that this monitor is just affixed to a sturdy, but lightweight stand that easily slides up or down to adjust the height. The monitor is lightweight and so easy to move if needed. For the past several months, I had breakdown my computer setup and transport it to work elsewhere every couple of weeks. All I kept thinking was how thankful I was to have this monitor and not my dual monitors on the heavy, clunky stand. So easy to set back up now. Another bonus is the built-in 'OnScreen Control' program. Makes it super easy to split the screens selecting from a variety of configurations. I've used several of them, but tend to just stick with the equal split screen most often. I also like that there are more settings to easily adjust the color of the screen depending on use. To cut down on the brightness, I keep it on the 'reader' setting and this works great for me. Helps my eyes not get so tired staring at my monitor all day long. The only downside is that even though the monitor seems very large, I've lost just a tad bit of space on the split screen views versus the amount of display space I had on my 2 separate monitors. It's not really that big of a deal, but the more advanced I'm getting with my monitor setup, the more picky I'm becoming. :) I plan to see if there is a larger one I can buy. Then I'll just this one as a 2nd setup in another room or as a TV in a spare room. I have not had any issues with bleeding, color quality or anything of that nature. I'm not a graphic artist so probably not the best person to comment on that. It's a high cost for a monitor but the benefits definitely outweigh the cost.

Great Large Monitor
I'm sure there are technophiles that will have reasons to criticize this monitor, but as a gamer and someone who uses these monitors for business applications too, I am very happy with this monitor. On the business side, I can put six Word documents on 2 monitors so all are visible at the same time. Sharp, clear, good colors, no noticeable issues in gaming, I have two of these and I'm very happy with them. I've had one of them for over a year with no apparent wear or skewing of colors or lapse in performance. As advertised, quick delivery, good price point (watch for discounts and specials). Two thumbs up.

The best product of its class
From the early 1990s up to now I only used HP monitors and I was very happy with their performance; this is the first time I am using LG monitor. I have used almost 10 HP monitors and none of those ever broke on me. When I receive this monitor box from LG, I had a good feeling that it was going to be a good monitor. However, when I started to set up the monitor, I had some issues that were solved through Amazon Technical Support and LG Technical Support. The only thing I can say is that I cannot be happier that I purchased this LG monitor through Amazon. This monitor is so perfect, and I thank Amazon for working with me and guiding me to purchase the right monitor. I hope that the monitor gives me the same services as the HP monitor gave me in the past; however, I also purchased a protection package from Asurion for four years it's only $11 a year; and I thought, it is well worth it. With the kind of service that I get from Amazon, I wonder why people will go and buy things from anywhere else. Even with large items such as 34 or 35 inches monitors, dealing with Amazon including tech support was simply excellent. So, thank you Amazon.

Surpassed my expectations
Installation onto a VESA 100 mount went smoothly, and it looks stylish with thin bezels on the top and sides. Picture quality in general is great - it needed very little calibration out of the box. For productivity or web browsing, text is a teensy bit fuzzy up close from my MacBook Air 2019, while output from my Samsung Chromebook Plus V2 is much better, which was a surprise, but not the fault of this monitor. Viewing angles are great, with no color shift toward the edges of the monitor unless I am very close in. And wow...the desktop real estate I’ve added is a game changer. I can have email and a browser open side by side, which will help quite a lot with multitasking. For gaming, this has good refresh rates and color accuracy. HDR is a little underwhelming, but I don’t use it a lot anyway. The menu system, which uses a little four way joystick just under the center front, takes a little getting used to but I’ve learned to like it. Sound quality from the built in speakers is just adequate, but I plan to get external speakers anyway. Overall, I couldn’t be more pleased with this product. Would definitely buy another if I decide to go crazy with my monitor setup.
