Will this be ok to fill in a plug hole in an old sink to make a wild life pond?

Yes it will but it has to be a ceramic sink "Belfast sink" not a stainless steel sink , just make sure that you have a piece of board under the plug hole too help with forming the seal and plug. It will dry in six hours maybe longer can't remember the instructions on the tube.
