Casio Collection Men's Watch W-217H

The Casio F91w is a classic in the watch world, sold in the millions and previously worn by presidents and terrorists alike. However, if you have a larger wrist (mine is 7.5"), then it's a bit too small and can look like a kid's watch when worn. The Casio W217h is the bigger brother of that classic of the watch world, with a larger case and longer strap, but retaining the original retro styling of the F91w. In terms of features, minimalist is the word. It has time/day/date, then a single alarm setting, and stopwatch. You can set an hourly chime and choose between 24hr clock, and that's it. But isn't there something nice and simple about that in this day and age, as opposed to a smartwatch that does a million things and beeps endlessly with notifications and needs charging every day? Less is more sometimes, and this watch does everything you need it to. The display is clear with large digits, and the backlight is excellent, making the display glow orange in the dark, which is pretty cool. The styling is retro and though the F91w probably is slightly better looking overall due to it's slimness, this watch looks much better when worn than the photos suggest, so will grow on you. It's robust enough that you can use it as a daily beater without worrying about damaging it due to the low cost, and is so light you forget you are wearing it. I own a number of watches including more expensive ones, but this one ends up on my wrist the most and it can't be faulted for the money. The Casio B650 is the silver stainless steel version which I ended up buying too as I liked the design so much, and that is also an excellent choice if you want something slightly different.

Great watch

If you have a bigger wrist and the F91-W looks tiny on it then this watch is basically just a bigger version. Apart from size the only real differences are a much better back light, 50m water resistance, and larger display digits. Case colours are the same but the button configuration is different although functions are identical to the F91-W. The strap is much longer on the W-217H, probably a good 1" or more longer and wider by about 2mm. Couldn't find this watch locally to me in the UK so had to get it from Amazon US and it was delivered 5 days earlier than quoted. A good watch if you want a slightly beefed up F91-W.

I just wanted a low cost time piece that also gave the day and date, and a built in light to check the time in the dark. Purrrfect. It's also a genuine bit of retro as a bonus. As timeless as it is useful. Well pleased with the Casio. PS. Yes, the strap is quite looooong. Although I don't have a thick wrist this hasn't caused me a problem.

Outstanding watch

These are the dog's wobblies...!!! One of the ultimate retro Casios and they just look amazing... Light, too, to the point where you can barely tell you're wearing a watch at all...!!! One word of caution though, especially for those buying their first Casio watch - you will get hooked, become addicted, lol, so make sure you have somewhere to keep them all as this won't be the last...!!!

Extremely lightweight, hourly notifications, alarm, stopwatch and decent light at night. I stopped buying smartwatches to cut out distractions and short battery life. If you need reliable time keeper without worrying if it's charged or scratched this is all you need for a very cheap price.

Not much to dislike about this watch, large numbers, nice size, looks cool, but why such a long strap? It is possible to swap it out for a F-91W strap if you can find thin enough spring bars, I did and now it fits great.

Cómodo, práctico y bonito. ¿Quieres un reloj bueno, bonito y barato? No busques más, Casio es la mejor opción.

Cette casio w-217 est fantastique et les chiffres sont beaucoup plus gros et grand que sur les autres casio , et elle est facile a régler , la lumière éclaire bien tout l'écran en orange vintage . J'ai pris le modèle avec le cerclage bleu . Beaucoup mieux que la casio f-91w , pas besoin de lunettes de vue pour lire l'heure . Je recommande , vous ne regretterez pas, j'espère vous avoir aidé a choisir.

Esse modelo e muito versátil, a caixa de 40mm deixa ele estéticamente ótimo em qualquer braço, além do aspecto retro, combina 90% de tudo no dia a dia, trabalho, academia e faculdade.

For the price, this is an excellent every day watch. A bigger screen and much better light than the Casio F91W, and even though it is larger than the F91 it fits well on my narrow wrist. I wear it daily and know that no matter what I find myself doing, the watch won't get damaged by water or dirt.

Great watch for every day! A good size for a male wrist. Really durable but good looking. Nice enough to look good on, but not too expensive to baby it.
