just what I wanted
It fits. You woud think a 200 dollar saw would come with a dollar knob, or whatever this cost me, same with the rip fence. Works for the DeWalt 20 volt cordless. I'm not going out to the shop for the model number.

What it fits, and what it doesn't fit.
I bought this to use with the Dewalt DW3278 Circular Saw Rip Fence on a Dewalt DCS570 7-1/4 inch 20V Circular Saw. It fits, but the rip fence actually came with the knob and spring used for attaching the fence. It was not clear in the item information, and this knob was pictured as an often purchased item for the rip fence. If you buy the DW3278 Rip Fence you will not need to buy this knob. The knob that comes with the rip fence is round and knurled, and much easier to use thatnthis one. And, this item is the knob only, so you will need to also find and buy the spring part. This knob will also fit the Dewalt DCS391 6-12 inch 20 V Circular Saw, but you will find that the plastic top is too large to be able to rotate it comfortably in the mounting space for a ripfence on that saw. Look for a smaller round mounting know instead for that application.
