The best rice cooker I’ve ever had
I LOVE this rice cooker. I have had a few different rice cookers, because we eat rice every day. This is my favorite! I bought it because it is ceramic, and I don’t want nonstick (I just don’t trust it). It’s easy to clean, cooks delicious rice, and is just as good, if not better, than a nonstick, and far healthier. I read a lot of reviews before buying it, and my main concern was being able to get a replacement bowl if mine chipped or cracked, so I contacted Aroma and they said they do offer replacement bowls on their site, for I think it is $30. So don’t let that worry stop you from getting this cooker. It was the biggest worry I had and I’m glad it’s really nothing I have to worry about. The only thing I don’t like is that it doesn’t keep warm indefinitely. But you can turn it off then hit keep warm and theoretically do that as long as you’d like. But the rice does get hard and crusty quicker than in a nonstick. Which is fine, I shouldn’t leave it in there so long anyway. And that’s not the cooker’s fault anyway, it’s mine for being lazy! I always bought Zojirushi cookers before but now I’m gonna go with Aroma from here on out! I am so grateful they offer an option that isn’t nonstick. I had contacted Zojirushi when deciding on a new cooker, and they said they didn’t plan to make an alternative to nonstick and were real dismissive about it, like it was dumb to worry about. Thanks, Aroma, for being pretty much the only cooker company to offer this fuzzy logic type of rice cooker in something other than nonstick! I cannot tell you how grateful I am for this and your great customer service when I contacted your company about a replacement bowl. You’ve got a customer for life now and I’ll recommend this cooker to any any everyone that will listen!

Awesome rice cooker
We like rice, and we eat rice everyday. Choosing a good rice cooker is very important for us. There are many choices in the market. I bought this one because of my friend’ s recommendation. I like its features which has good looking and also have cool touch technology, it is more safety for whom have children. It is very flexible which we can cook from 1 to 12 cup rice depend on how many members we eat. There are many functions on this cooker. It also can make soups, stews, and so on which is very satisfied our multiple need. It is also very easy to clean. But you cannot use cleaner with metal to clean it. I have heard this company many years, it is a very awesome rice cooker maker company.

Large capacity, excellent features, quiet and fully programmable.
Honestly, I have to say this product kills. The rice cook looks huge when I saw it at the first glance, however, the size is great for my family, two adults and three kids. It works great. The rice looks fluffy, and tastes great. The rice is delicious and made perfectly every time. I like that I just throw the timer on and cook a variety of items. I've cooked down sweet potatoes, soup mixes, made chicken and rice, quinoa, etc. I really like this, as well as the steamer basket for vegetables. I can set the timers so it's ready as soon as I get home or wake up, lol. I'm going to try the yoga function when I get a chance. Make yogurt at home, doesn't it sound fun to you. In, conclusion, I like this multi-cooker and will probably use it mostly as a rice cooker. It does everything it claims that I've tried with very good results. Like with many multipurpose devices they can be bulkier and less convenient in use than other options.

The ideal rice cooker
Four years of perfect operation so far from this rice cooker. I bought it for the ceramic bowl... no teflon, still easy to clean, works like a charm. And I have grown to appreciate the interface - really simple to use. We use ours several times per week to whip up some rice or to make steel cut oats (use same water and time as white rice) which is just as tasty and way way easier than the traditional pot-stirring method. Highly recommended purchase.

THIS IS NOT A 12 CUPS RICE COOKER. ITS A 3 CUPS OF UNCOOK RICE TO 6 CUPS OF COOKED RICE.
This rice is not a 12 cup rice cooker the box say so but it's not. When I first got it and see the ceramic and the indicator it says 6 cups. At first I thought it's really a 12 cups so I put 6 cups of uncooked rice what happened the rice didn't cook right it doesn't have enough water and the ceramic pot is not big enough for a 12 cup of cooked rice. I'm Asian too and I cooked rice 44 years of my life it is my daily staple 3 times a day. I can even cook rice in a stove top in non stick pan. But this rice cooker is not a 12 cup you're paying for a 12 cup but it is not. It is not a 6 cup uncook rice that turns to 12 cup cook rice as described. I throw away 4 batch of wasted rice to convince myself that I did have a 12 cup size rice cooker. So upon experimenting more than 4 times, the 5th time that I tried I add 3 cups of uncook rice then wash it good then add water to the line 6 as indicated on the ceramic pot and WHAM the rice got cook right to 6 cups only. So I called customer service and relate my issue I was told they will send me the 12 cup which is supposed to be the right one..... guess what they send me the same exact one. I compare the first one to the one that was just delivered to me and sure enough it was the same exact one that I already have. What a waste of time energy money and rice let alone I bought the expensive kind of rice $59.99 for 25 pound bag that is Yes I buy the premium Korean rice and all it of goes to waste because of a deciptive product description. I returned it and asked for a refund. Its a waste of my busy time. Sucks!!!

Item As described. Great item for the price.
First I will say. It had no smell that I heard people complain about. I removed and washed the inner metal lid and also washed the Ceramic pot prior to cooking rice in it. Seems to have made a difference. Never smelled anything while it cooked. Except the rice smell. The pot is not thin as some comments mentioned. It is thick considering what it is. The rice didn't stick to the pot. The cooking seemed to happen instantly and didn't seem to be different than my old cooker that had a non-stick pot in it. The rice was cooked evenly and no burn spots on bottom. This unit can cook up to 6 cups of dry rice. Meaning it makes about 12 cups of cooked rice. It's smallest cooking quanity is TWO CUPS. I wouldn't try and cook only one cup in it. It probably needs the water for at lest two cups to work properly and not over heat and crack the pot. Not worth the risk! Most medium to large rice cookers require at least two cups or more be cooked in them. Unit is easy to clean. I used it like I have always used rice cookers. I always wait TEN MINUTES after rice is done to eat it. The rice is still cooking and really isn't ready when the chimer rings. This is a rule my Mom had me follow since I was a child. Growing up, the only rice cooker was those single press button Hibachi units with the bell that rang when done. Same noise used on phones these days as the basic chime. Warm mode is 12 hours. You can keep resetting it to prolong it being warm. Older Quality rice pots kept it warm for days. And it never seemed to spoil up to three days. Not sure why but every new model these days seems to only warm 12 or 24 hours. Must be a safety issue from people trying to go too many days and getting sick. I only cook Jasmine White Rice. It turned out perfect. I do wait the extra ten minutes once done to allow the moistures to even out and the rice to complete its cooking. You must press power/start button to turn unit on. Then you select the rice mode. Then press Power/start button again to start cooking. Unit is close to 11" wide at handle pivots (widest point), 15.5" long and 10" tall. The unit works well considering what you pay. I have owned better but I paid $450.00 and that company sold to another Japanese company.. It lasted over ten years and the non-stick is just starting to come off. Parts are not available so I tried this unit. I really didn't want teflon or aluminum pots. I really like this Ceramic pot. Be very careful with it. Getting another one is almost impossible. I looked into getting a spare to have on hand but Aroma was sold out. This pot is slicker and heavier than the traditional metal pots. I can see how one could drop it. Just remember to wash the inner metal lid and the ceramic pot before cooking with it. I am cooking rice in this at 5000 feet in Colorado. I don't think altitude effects the cooking process. After twelve hours the rice at the bottom of the cooker gets weird. Could be why the warm feature only allows 12 hours. If you dont want this to happen, you probably should buy a very high end model that is also offered on Amazon.

Great Rice Cooker
I ordered this Aroma rice cooker and got a fast delivery. I very much like to try it since it is a ceramic cooker. I tried last night, it was gorgeous, it only took about an hour to get brown rice done, it saved me almost an hour than the previous one called Zojirushi rice cooker (bought at Costco) , that cooker usually needs an hour and 40 minutes to cook brown rice. Plus, the Aroma cooker is ceramic which keeps most of nutrition in while cooking, so the rice tastes better. The quality of the rice cooking impressed my family, as the rice came out perfect and not soggy or dry. There was no over-burnt areas, and the cooking of the rice was consistent and even. The ceramic inner pot is really a plus given, there is no teflon that is very common with other brand rice cookers. In general, I am very pleased with this purchase.

Worth the price
I want to give a honest review so I have to use it for at least 10 days. This rice cooker is costly, but it does turn out really great rice. It can be used for different kinds of rice ( brown, white, wild rice, mixed) and gives perfect results every time. I like that it can be set to have the rice ready at a certain time, so you can get it ready and set it for dinnertime. It also has a large capacity. ceramic inner pot makes it easy to clean seems good for long time use and I don’t need to worry about the coat scratch like using the non-sticky inner pot. Even though the price is a little bit high, it worth it.

Rice sticks to pot. Lid opens too fast.
I bought this rice cooker to replace teflon based coating. First of all, when I press the open lid button, the lid just springs up so fast; which is not good. I had to get used to use one hand to press the button and the other hand on the lid so it would just flap up too fast. Secondly, when the rice is done cooking and on keep warm. The bottom of the pot would dry the rice and the rice will get stuck at the bottom after about 8 hrs of keep warm (not good to keep warm overnight. I had to replace this rice cooker eventually because of the rice keep getting stuck at the bottom. People were complaining in the household.

Died after 2 years
Has had light use for the last 2 years and now it won't turn on. I think for the price it shouldn't die after 2 years.

Do not buy this ricecooker in Canada.
This product suddenly stops working after 10 months. Call manufacture customer service, they refuse to honour their warranty policy, say the warranty only covers United State, asks me to talk to Amazon Canada. In amazon.ca's product description, there is no single word about their warranty policy. And Amazon Canada's reply is: 30 days return window has closed, and good luck. Do not buy this brand's product from Canada, and check warranty statement if you buy anything from Amazon Canada.

It’s too bad that I had a bad experience with this Coke and a pearl
It actually did a good job at cooking the rice but you couldn’t stand the smell of the pot itself so I went on the Internet and seems that the cooker has been smelling bad for other customers so what’s up with that? I don’t like to leave negative reviews it’s a shame because it was a nice rice cooker but the smell was just unbelievable !!
