Does it sync information to an app on your phone or do you have to manually input info into whatever tracking app you are using?

If you want to track the information on your phone you will have to input it manually on the native health app (apple health or google health) or any other tracking app that allows for manual tracking. Only recall last body composition? Does not save whole history?

Yes, this scale recalls the last body composition reading in order to see your numbers again should the screen turn off before you get to fully understand them. Does this scale require you to get the app for your phone?

No. This a wonderful scale with accurate results and it works independently of any apps. I must admit I didn’t read all the instructions-but I still am able to use the scale. It has a disclaimer that it should not be used by people with a pacemaker. I have a pacemaker and it works well.

How does this scale auto recognize users?

During setup, you chose a user profile, P0, P1, P2, etc. You enter your personal information (males, female, athlete), age, height, and the scale will show 0.0 pounds. You get on in bare feet and the scale will weigh you and show you your body statistics. From that point, it will automatically remember you when you step on it.
