Horribly expensive for what it is however it's fantastic if you get the right size hose which I think was 32 mil in my case it connects to all your DeWalt tools and sucks away the dust I only use it in my garage on my chop saw because I like to fiddle around at home but it keeps my garage free of dust when connected to my Hoover

This vacuum hose adapter seems to be robust and well made but I also think it's expensive for what it is, and as a health and safety item I think the price ought to be kept low and possibly even bundled with the relevant tools. I mean - £80 for a multispeed random orbital sander - £18 for this plasti hose connector - it's disproportionate! Moving on, it does lock on to my sander - a big plus as I hate rickety connections. The other end is claimed to thread on to a standard vacuum cleaner suction hose. I've only tried with a recently purchased Henry. I think it would thread on, but, when I dismantled the fitting that couples the hose to the wand (not something to do repeatedly) I discovered that there was a casing apparently glued onto the end of the hose which I couldn't even loosen. I was about to cut it off when I had the idea to offer it up to the adapter. To my surprise it went in quite a way and then seemed to seat quite snugly - so I'm going to try it like this. I've decided that if it proves unsatisfactory I will buy a cheap replacement hose and trim the end, keeping the original intact for conventional vacuuming duties. (I tried a cheap hose on an earlier Henry and it never gripped the wand properly!) Hope this is helpful !

I bought this to fit on a DeWalt DWE6423 orbital sander as I wanted to do some indoor sanding work. It fits the sander well after some fiddling - as others have noted you have to line up the oblong mark with the unlock mark on the ring and then turn to lock. I had to cut off the end of my shopvac hose to fit into the other end of it but fortunately had a spare one from an old Mac Allister vac. A bit of a pain trying to screw the hose into the adaptor as it was slightly larger than the entry hole but managed it in the end. Final result is very effective dust extraction into my new Mac Allister.

Brilliant item and exactly what I needed to attach my Henry vacuum to my DeWalt sander

I bought this to fit my DeWalt orbital sander. It’s well made but has a tendency to keep coming off. This is surprising as it is made by DeWalt. It did a good job of collecting the plaster dust into my vacuum cleaner but I had to keep a hand on it which was a bit awkward.

OK so it's DeWalt and therefore over priced, let's accept that from the outset. That does mean however, that it fits to DeWalt kit properly without any fuss. The other end fits the hose from a Henry after the shaped nozzle has been removed but the bung is still in place, that means it's a simple push fit which is very convenient. Once the Henry is running there is a fair bit of noise from the sander, the Henry motor and the sound of the air being sucked through but dust removal is excellent. I do not use it with the bag attachment but having accidentally forgotten to switch on the Henry once I can say that dust removal is, as you would expect, nowhere near as efficient.

It fits the dewalt dcv584l hose.
