Review: 5* Seller & Makita. 0* desertcart - Bought this to replace a Bosch drill and expand Hubby’s growing love affair with Makita tools. Firstly the package arrived with a missing component. After a phone call and emails with Seller Tools House Customer Services, the missing part was in the post and arrived the next day. (Thanks Isabel). The drill is everything Hubby wanted and is superior to the Bosch in ease of use and quality. The batteries charge quicker too. Not impressed with desertcarts Customer Services (a) poor English (b) suggested 48 hours to resolve, I did it in 2; (c) overpaid by £53.10 as I found - too late - a lower price. No way to complain as money already taken from my account. Moral : take more time on researching.

A: Small drill with a hammer function. A must have for small holes. The larger sds will rip your wall down.

A: Chuck is metal with plastic hand grip outer

**Q: Will the 5ah battery be ok for use with this drill?**
A: All lxt serie tools from makita are compatible with 3 4 5 6 ah battery And yes, this drill is lxt. It is heavy But powerful! Avoid batteries with White Cap cause They are not compatible, But they are not available in 5ah so you can not go wrong!

**Q: Does it have variable speed button**
A: Yes, 2 speeds, and some speed control on the trigger.
