Wanted a quiet , non ticking alarm clock and saw this one .It is so easy to set the time and the alarm unlike some other digitl ones . It takes 1 x AA Battery .The alarm gets increasingly louder until you switch it off which is very easy to do . The hands are luminous but thre is also an inbuilt light too should you need it . Would buy again .

This is a perfect little clock, completely silent, easy to set up and has a little light too. I bought this for a hospital stay, it was easy to see the time with it on the bedside table.
