Camera rest
I've mounted this to a Manfrotto monopod (334B), used heavy-duty Velcro to attach the plate to the base of the beanbag for stability, and use the combination as a walking stick as well as a stabilizer for my camera. Haven't had it long enough to test durability, but it seems like it's going to work out very well. Moves quite a bit
Have to cut off elastic straps after I glue it down. Probably work a lot better.

Simple but effective
Works great to rest a long camera lens on without being locked in to a mount for quick release while photographing wildlife. It's an easy mount on a camera tripod. It's not really a soft mount... I would describe the product more as a "firm" bean bag.

Well made and stable. If I were to have any complaint at all it would be that the metal plate on the bottom inst actually attached to the sand bag. Its strapped on so it can slide back and forth. It wont slide off but it can slide. I suppose the upside would be that its replaceable in that regard.

Does what it is supposed to do
This is a simple product with a simple purpose and it does exactly what it is supposed to do. I needed a tripod mounted rest to use while target shooting. This came with an adapter to fit two different sizes of tripod mounts. It appears heavy and well made and I've had no issues.
