Based on the popular graphic novel series, this hit AMC series focuses on a small group of survivors living in the wake of an unknown catastrophe that has revived the dead as "walkers," shambling, flesh-eating zombies. As the ragtag band, led by Southern lawman Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), makes their way across a walker-infested America, they soon discover that the dead may be the least of their problems. Norman Reedus, Steven Yeun, Chandler Riggs, Melissa McBride, Danai Gurira co-star.117 episodes on 54 discs. 134 2/3 hrs. Widescreen; Soundtracks: English, French, Spanish; Subtitles: English (SDH), French, Spanish; "making of" documentary; photo gallery; deleted scenes; featurettes; audio commentary on selected episodes; behind-the-scenes footage; webisodes; more. Review: Great home set. - Every one played. No hiccups in the quality. 5 stars. Good price. Outer box didn't hold up so well but who cares about that. I put them all in a 100 cd case. Review: Digital code works as of 3/3/26 - As of this review, the digital code still works. Wanted to update on that bc I wondered about it before I bought the set. I often like to let this series run in the background (without having to change discs) and I’m sure I’m not the only one. Packaging is meh, but no discs were loose upon arrival (in fact, they’re a bit difficult to remove). If you want this full series on blu-ray, the packaging won’t make or break your decision, but I have to say I’m a bit disappointed that a $120 set (I paid less) is so cheaply housed. I love the book-style access to the discs, but, unbelievably, the hard plastic “pages” that hold the discs are “bound” together with what’s essentially wide packing tape. That won’t age well. Haven’t played the discs yet and can’t provide a review on them, but they’re all there.

Great series, product as described.
Arrived as described and on time. Digital product code technically expired in 2024 however it was still valid upon entry. One of my favorite series.

Excellent
This Blu-ray version plays perfectly, unlike the DVD versions that are available, which I’ve had nothing but trouble with, and had to return. This set is top quality discs and a very fair price. The only complaint I have is about the quality of the inner disc holder. The plastic disc holders are held together with tape, and it falls apart very quickly. I removed the tape which keeps them from being held in place but that is only an issue when you have them out of the box. They could have done a better job with the quality of this, but other than that I could not be happier with this set.

Incredible Series, Insane Packaging.
The series gets 5 stars, but the packaging gets more like 2 stars. I expected it was going to be bad because of what others stated in the reviews, but... wow! Haha. I had already purchased a disc holder to transfer all of these discs to, and upon transferring, I found that I received 2 copies of one disc (season 9, disc 3) and was missing the season 9, disc 5. What a nightmare. The problem is, with as many people who stated they have experienced these issues, what is the use in doing an exchange? I did reach out to Lionsgate to see if they can send me a disc. We'll see how that goes. Typically, service from one of these companies is pretty tough to get. If I remember, I will update this review if/when I get a response from Lionsgate. One would expect when paying this much for something, Quality Control would be something that would be important to the manufacturer. It was hard for me to rate this 4 stars because it seems unfair to the series itself, and I will reiterate that I believe the series deserves 5 stars. I am a huge fan of this series and, except for just a couple of lackluster episodes, it is one of the best series of all time, IMHO. I've told people that TWD is "Drama with horror." Many people don't understand that, in reality, TWD is a drama. I've noticed that viewers of this series are usually in one camp or another: They love the drama and hate the horror and gore, or they hate the drama and love the horror and gore and want more of it. Personally, I believe the creators of this series did an admirable job of trying to keep a balance between the two. Upon watching this entire series for the 10th time recently, I realized I'm still seeing and finding things I had never noticed before. This series gives incredible bang for your buck, and I would assume that anyone in the market for this set already knows what they want. If you are someone who hasn't seen an episode of TWD, it may be a good idea to stream a couple of episodes before diving in for this amount of money, especially with the packaging issues that many of us have experienced. I am still super glad I bought this series on bluray so I can have access to all of the extras and the deleted scenes (some of those scenes are super important and should have never been cut out). Even with the missing disc (and I *will* get that figured out), it will provide years of entertainment for my family and since it is on disc, it can be passed on to loved ones, unlike digital.

Impressive disc container
If you’re like me a collector of good movies and series, you will definitely want to buy this set. Not only is it The Walking Dead, which had the first seven years of amazing content in my opinion, but the actual collection does not have your discs sitting on top of each other like many other collections. They spent some money on making this collection in a way that should help keep the discs from getting scratched and that’s a rare thing nowadays

It's not that bad...
I am happy with this set for the most part, no it isn't 4k, big deal. The discs are stacked 2 to a page on each "book" style housing unit. The cardboard style paper that works as the covers for the 2 books is very thin and flimsy, so think of it as a paperback book if you want this set, don't expect it to be a hardbound book type of set ala Mad Men or the Aliens Anthology. Other than those 2 minor things on my end I think for what it is, it isn't as bad as people who haven't even received it say it is. The box that houses the 2 books is a nice hardbound book style quality so that is great, it's all the seasons in one box and it's fine for me. I only ever had season 1 & 2 on Blu Ray previously, so I didn't have all the other seasons individually. Like with everything, someone's gonna love it and someone's gonna complain 😂
