Pros:-Working like a charm. Cons:- (1) Impossible to initial setup wirelessly. Need to connect the hub once with RJ-45 ethernet with the router (thanks to Jio, my jio airfiber router had 4 ports). Also, the hub need to have power cable connected all the time. (2) No spare battery for the bell unit, 2nd day of use and the battery showing 94%. (3) Inital setup of hub is tricky (manual not very clear about it, first the hub need to be connected to router with ethernet, then 'use wireless' need to be selected from tapo app then add the bell.) else it won't work.

Fail-proof and trustworthy product. Sends a video call on the phone immediately without delay when someone rings the bell. Both my wife’s and my phone are connected and both ring at the same time. Product’s app is very stable, easy to use and feature rich. Installation was a breeze. The only feature I wish was a power cord to the bell unit instead of the provided rechargeable battery. Makes me anxious looking at the battery going down from 100% to 98% while I was experimenting during the setup. Video quality is much better than what I expected. It is at par with surveillance cameras that one normally installs. Just go for it.

A month in service, the hardest part of TP Link Tapo is the first setup. There wireless setup doesn’t work due to outdated firmware and demands a physical modem and wired ethernet connection! Most non-tech savvy people will find it hard to execute and the installation instructions aren’t easy to follow either. The battery is barely charged and needs at least 6 hours to get to 100%, also the charging port is a micro usb-b type adding another cable to my household out of the box. After getting the hub and camera paired, I placed the former in my room, added a micro SD card and attached the camera to my door using the 3M sticker provided in the package, which meant no drilling and adding screws to the door. The glue holds steady, as my unit is indoor and away from sun and weather. Within first day of use, the AI video capture was able to record all detected motion from people, cleaners and also one instance of a street dog breaking in to crew on trash. There are tons of customisation in the app, including detection zone, alexa or google home pairing and option to share the device access to more people. The video quality is quite crisp, I can easily distinguish faces upto 4m away and the wide angle lens provides a huge field of view. The bell comes with an instant response with option to video-call on your phone. The sound quality is decent and so is the video. However, there’s significant buffering when you want to watch the live view. Once it gets running, there’s no lag. For the price tag, it does an amazing job with a good value for money with added security.

It works ok. Camera can be set to 2k but the video quality is not at all good but good compared to cctv. The design is bad because people don’t know where the bell button is at the first glance, even after putting the provided sticker that says press here, most people will press on the camera lens of other parts before pressing on the button as the button is not distinctive, it’s blended with the rest of the body for a cleaner look but IMO it’s dysfunctional. It’s not at all responsive, takes forever to load the live feed, or when someone presses the door bell, live feed takes at least 15 seconds to load. Even when going through recordings the cideos take 15-17 seconds to load initially. I would recommend you skip this for a better product as even the battery life is misleading, it will not last 6 months, my unit laster 25 days only before needing a charge, for it to last longer, you cannot use motion detection, only video on bell press should be on, and it should be set to power saving mode, so video quality will be like 3gp. Horrible experience. Apart from that, it’s functional, it’s not like I’m gonna stop using it but frankly, there is also NO RETURN option, replacement will also be not done by amazon but by TP-link service centre which you will have to visit and it’s only in the case of malfunction or defect.

It’s been only 3 months and it does not even switch on. It’s poor quality. It’s fully charged but doesn’t switch on only. Poor customer service no one reverts. I have emailed but there is no response. It’s such an expensive and important item for a household but these guys are selling just products that will make your life worst. The customer care number is not mentioned only option is to send feedback on app. The email id is given somewhere on google where you will have to wait for days. Not considering at all that a doorbell bought is of extreme importance in a home. I would not recommend this to be bought if you’re looking for something which will ease your life.

Handige deurbel, werkt op wifi. Snel te installeren, prima beeld en geluid, alleen de losstaande bel moet aan een vaste netwerkkabel, dat is wel onhandig.

Un doorbell molto funzionale e pratico, di installazione relativamente semplice e con ottime funzionalità. Ho scelto questo, tra i tanti "concorrenti" prevalentemente perché ho un ecosistema TAPO/TP LINK a casa (prese P110, P100 e P115, lampadine smart, una TAPO CAM C225 ecc e quindi la scelta di questo doorbell è stata funzionale per poterlo gestire nell'ambito di una medesima app). Ma oltre a questa caratteristica l'ho scelto anche perché ha una batteria ricaricabile (a distanza di un mese ne è stata consumata circa il 25% con una media di una trentina di accensioni giornaliere) e quindi non è stato necessario cablare il campanello. Ha una ottima visione (un angolo molto ampio che mi permette di "controllare" l'intero pianerottolo comeda foto allegata), livelli di sensibilità al movimento personalizzabili e molto efficaci, la possibilità di registrare nel cloud i vari passaggi, la possibilità di stabilire un intervallo nel quale attivare le notifiche di movimento e/o la registrazione dei vari passaggi (sono ineressato prevalentemente alla registrazione dei passaggi "notturni" visto che ho installato il campanello in seguito alla visita di ladri nel nostro palazzo, e devo dire che è un ottimo deterrente). Ho usato l'adattatore con inclinazione di 15° nel posizionamento del campanello e l'applicazione è stata molto semplice. L'app risponde molto bene e recentemente ne è stata migliorata l'interfaccia. Ultima cosa, l'ho preso ad un prezzo inferiore ai 100€ nella primissima fase di vendita del prodotto. Ne sono molto soddisfatto e ne consiglierei l'acquisto, soprattutto per utenti già con un ecosistema TAPO attivo.
