Actually made of metal and seems of good quality and durable. It was easy to install and works like a charm! Time will tell but I really think it was well worth the extra couple of bucks to get a metal one instead of a plastic one. It was on my wife's side of the sofa and she was so happy and gave me a smile and a wink when she tried it out so I'm sure it was a great buy!

bought this for a replacement to a current recliner. the original was made out of cheap plastic and this was a great upgrade. installment was easy and this being all metal will last me forever. great fit, not problems, and quality for a good price is a winner all the way around .

These replaced my couch pull handle. They were better quality than the ones that were on my couch. These were metal and mine were plastic. Held up a lot better. Would by from this seller again.

The best thing about the handle is that it's metal and not plastic like the one that originally came on my La-Z-boy sofa. I tried finding one that was exactly like what I had. This was the closest I could find and decided to give it a try to see if I could make it work. First, on my old handle the cable attached in a different location. Second, the cable end was smaller than the hole in the new handle. The outer cable jacket looked the same and it did fit in the new location. I made a sleeve out of an electrical crimp connector for the cable end that fit nicely in the new handle. The cable was just long enough to reach the top of the handle when it was installed in the sofa. I could have flipped it over 180 degrees, but you would have then been pushing down instead of pulling up on the handle to operate the recliner. It is working where it is, so I'm not going to worry about it. The attached pictures show what I am talking about a little better. The first shows both new and old handles together. The next three show the old handle cable mounting points and how the old handle style looks on the opposite side of the sofa. The next two pictures show the cable installed in the new handle and the sleeve I made before I crimped it on the end of the cable. The last two pictures show the new handle installed. It operates very smoothly, better than the original.

Replaced the broken plastic pulls on my lay-z-boy couch with these. Super easy job and they are a much better quality than the old plastic ones that were on the couch originally.

Th plastic ones that came with the sofa had broken. Decided to get something that would last more than a couple of months. They fit perfect and are well made. Waited a few weeks to get them but it was worth the wait.

I have bought a few plastic versions of this to replace the broken plastic handle that came with the recliner chairs. None of them lasted, even with gentle use. A lot of the replacements on offer suggest they are all metal, but clearly they are mostly plastic (check the reviews) - and all will break eventually. This one costs more, but it is less than two of the plastic handles, so is much more cost effective. This one is actually all metal, so while it has only just gone in, I am confident it will last a lot longer than its predecessor. Now I have confirmed that, I am off to buy the 2nd one I need.

Definately not All Metal or dia cast aluminium. It is all plastic. Could not recommend this product as it is not what it is advertised as.. don

I've replaced the handles on my recliner twice already, this all metal handle looks like it will outlast the recliner, it's very sturdy and the release action is smooth.

Have purchased plastic handles in the past ,these metal handles are far superior so far and well the extra money
