I'm running this CPU on my TrueNas server for some time now without any issues. Temperature wise I never seen it go over 60 degrees with more than 20 apps installed and 4 virtual machines (2 Windows and 2 Linux), 6 SMB shares and 2 iSCSI drives.

I purchased an AMD EPYC 7551 (32-core/64-threaded), but after installing and verifying it using BMC/IPMI and CPUID at the hardware level, the system detects an AMD EPYC 7282 (16-core/32-threaded). This identification is independent of BIOS or software. The packaging was sealed, but the CPU I received does not match the description. I recommend verifying the processor.
