The skewers are flat on one side which helps keep veggies and meat from rolling around. Cleaning brush is made of palm bristles (I assumed it would be steel bristles since no info was given in the description but this is actually a safer alternative so it works out). Tools are handwash only, not dishwasher safe.Only down side to this product is that the case is pretty flimsy near the handle (case slightly bends out when holding by handle due to weight) and hence feels kind of cheap and not as durable as promised. Will have to see if the case and handle can withstand use over time. Rest of the case seems fine, just the side that the handle is on is bendy. I guess this is expected since the description did say the case is aluminum with a faux bamboo print.Note: product has a PROP65 WARNING for Chromium that was not listed in description on Amazon.
