They are loud enough even at half volume but the sound is a little hollow and “tinny”. However, there are a couple of issues that mean I wouldn’t buy another set for upstairs as I had originally intended. My first issue with them is that when the speakers are connected, they disable the keyboard on my iPad and I have to keep turning them, or the the Bluetooth, off if I want to search for a song because the keyboard won’t come up; this has never happened with any of the other Bluetooth speakers I’ve had in the past. The other problem is that they don’t “lip-synch” so I can’t use them when watching a video because the person in the video speaks/sings a line and there is about a two second delay before the words come out of the speakers. Some people might not mind this but it really irritates me.
