I returned these immediately. They did not work for my2001 Silverado 5.3. Yes they fit but just low quality product. Throttle was all over the place and it wouldn’t idle.

For reference, the OE replacements for my 2000 GMC Sierra 1500 are: Idle Air Control Valve: GM #89053319 / ACDelco #217-1806 (MSRP $348.30, sells around $238.85) Throttle Position Sensor: GM #88864359 / ACDelco #213-4668 (MSRP $109.30, sells around $76.50) This A-Premium combo is a much cheaper alternative (around $25 vs. $300+ for the OE parts), and it does work as a stop-gap. Before installing, my truck was running rough at all speeds. The original IAC had a worn bearing and had completely failed. With this kit installed, idle immediately smoothed out and drivability improved. That said, there are important differences from the OE design. The factory IAC pintle is made of a self-lubricating, glass-infused polymer. The one in this kit is aluminum, which isn’t as forgiving. About two weeks in, I noticed inconsistent throttle response. When I checked under the hood, I found the TPS electrical connector had come loose and was dangling. Snapping it back in instantly restored smooth idle, but that tells me the fit and finish aren’t on par with OEM. Bottom line: These parts are cheap and functional for the short term, but you’ll need to keep an eye on them. If you just need a quick, affordable fix to get your vehicle running again, this does the job. For long-term reliability, I’d still recommend going with the OE ACDelco parts.
