TLDR: Did not work at all on either female connector for power or data More detailed: I was hoping to use this to split power from a USB-C battery power pack to use for a pair of low power LED lights for a kid's costume. The USB-C lights did not receive power from either female port, with standard troubleshooting (one port at a time, both, reverse the way the plug was facing on each end, different source). I then attempted to use this splitter for other USB-C devices with several sources and could not get any data or power connectivity. I figured it was a long shot to try this, and wish I hadn't. I am returning it as defective/ non-functional and would not recommend it to anyone else. For my project, I ended up finding a usb-c output battery pack (samsung) with 2 usb-c ports that my son carried in his pocket rather than the single output battery pack I had mounted on a headband.
