Does garmin have plans to make an obd2 compliant model?

I went through the weight stations they checked my garmin eld it’s easy to use and I haven’t had problems. I’m not sure about obd2?

Does this device or the software that goes with it provide ifta reports, by month or quarter?

Currently the eLog does not have the ability to record IFTA logs, but IFTA support will be coming soon.

If i have both garmin eld and dezl 580lmt-s , so i still need smartphone app? isn't it enough both eld and dezl 580lmt-s for fmcsa compliance?

The Smartphone app will still be required for the Garmin eLog to function. After the software update for the dezl 580 is available, it will aid in viewing your HOS information.

Does is allow dvir to be done on the app?

No, at this time the Garmin eLog does not support DVIR. If using the app you will want to put yourself into On Duty status while performing your DVIR.
