If anything they are louder than the original alarms we had in place (many of which had quit working over the past year). All the LED lights worked great as well. Can hear the cease fire alarms clearly 300 yards down range.

When it was wired in and turned on, the unit popped, fire came out, and blackened the whole unit. Do not purchase since is a fire hazard!
