Works well so far; monitors soil level and VERY easy to attach to Moen sprinkler controller
I don't have automatic sprinklers yet but I have to Moen controller and a soil sensor. It makes knowing when I need to water so much easier. The app is pretty slick and installation took less than 5 minutes. Placing the sensor in the garden itself was easy but my soil is loose. These allow the sprinkler controller to know when to turn on as well (if you're using the Moen controller). Installation of the controller is extremely easy and the cover is magnetic. As long as you take pictures of your old sprinkler system, it should take less than 30 minutes. The app has worked well. I think this is a really cool product. If you don't have a sprinkler system, it's easy to purchase one. I am impressed and have already bought more sensors.

MOEN is a good idea with terrible implementation and support
No guidance as to what good readings could be, but that doesn’t matter as the MOEN controller will continue to water in a rainstorm even with weather restrictions enabled. After a week of steady rain. Going back to the simpler dependable RainMachine.

Helpful when traveling
This has been a great resource when traveling so we can monitor new sod and make sure our new lawn had the perfect level of moisture. We installed a wifi extender to boost the signal higher into the yard.

Buying used might be a bad move.,
Bought 2 used and neither would pair.

Water saver
This was easy to setup and has saved me a lot on my water bill. It would be best to have one per zone but that’s expensive. I put it in the driest part of my yard and tied it to all of the zones.

3 year Battery isn't replaceable
I thought about buying one of these but was put off by the fact that Moen doesn't tell you that the integrated lithium battery is not replaceable and has a tested lifespan of 3 years. After 3 years, you will have to purchase another sensor. I was going to buy one for all 5 zones of my yard. I would have been very unhappy if I spent $350 only to find out that I would have to spend that much every 3 years. Also, I also found out from them that they have a tested range of ~250 ft. I would assume that is a straight line distance and doesn't take into account structures that may be in between the sensor and your controller.

It updates every few minutes and seems accurate
It's very nice. The app works well and it pairs instantly. The water levels are reported back in easy to read measurements on the app, and you can configure the water schedule to skip if any section of soil is water than X amount that you specify. I do wonder what the % means in 80% water level in the soil. It certainly doesn't seem like 80% water and is fairly damp, but not wet.

Of course I like it
I live in an apartment and don't actually have a yard, but Moen sent me one for free (along with a bunch of other free things) so I just think it's the best thing yet, especially the app!
