Used for painting, this is best price I've found
These were recommended in an instructional video (not YouTube) I watched showing how to use them for small areas when painting with dyes and alcohol inks. But the place they recommended for purchase charged almost $6 plus shipping for only 5. I was looking for something else on Amazon when these showed up in my search. They had NOTHING to do with my search terms but I was so happy to see them at such a reasonable price. While I haven't yet done the project with the inks that I originally bought them for, I have used them in my watercolor painting and with some acrylic paints and have been very pleased with them for that. I have no idea what their intended purpose is, or why Dental is in the name, or why you would ever use them for makeup, but for painting tiny details or in tiny spaces, these worked out well for me.

Hobbyist's dream
As someone who builds plastic models, this find was truly amazing. The hobby shops charge $8 for maybe 50, so to find 400 at this price was a no brainier. Great item, perfect for applying glue, small dabs of clear coat or epoxy for simulating glass, whatever. Great little items.

Super useful
I don’t love single use plastic, but these little applicators are so darn useful. I bought them for precise placement of a topical medication and it worked great. Now they aren’t needed for that, I’ve used them for cleaning tiny spaces (like the plastic threads where my hummingbird feeder screws together), and craft projects with my daughter (painting tiny dots, spreading glue around in a tight space, etc.) I think I’ll try cleaning inside my sewing machine next…

Cheap and good enough
With apologies to mamakat, these are exactly as flexible as the type I've been using for more than a decade. The quality control of the fuzz on the end is only fair, varying significantly among the lot--all look usable, though. I use them mainly for applying tiny amounts of contact enhancer to small electrical connectors.

Great little helper
I use these to clean under the bobbin area of my sewing machines, they are so handy and reusable. I bought extra to pass out to my sewing group. You can get into any small space and the tip holds the built-up debris to safely remove it.

Works well for painting on small pieces
I uses these items for painting with alcohol ink on 1 1/2 inch or smaller glass cabochons. They work well for this use my only complaint is that the fluff falls off after a few strokes and can get stuck in my painting.

perfect for the job
I use them to keep my sewing machine cleaned out of fluff and lint. They are small enough to get under the feed dogs and pull it out. Can drop oil on them and use them to lubricate the areas as well

Great little brushes! Thanks to Myriams Nature for the idea
These work well to just move alcohol ink in detailed areas. Great for trees, or to detail a line between colors.
