hard working little pump. 5 feet is right....buy bigger one if you need to go distance. will not pump thru a check valve

Compact and convenient
The pump is small and does its job well for draining condensate automatically, especially with the built-in level sensor. It took a little adjustment to get everything positioned correctly, but once set up, it runs reliably.

Works Except, It Doesn't
It runs, it pumps when the sensor is touched, it turns off... Then the water left in the tube that didn't get pumped out flows back into the container, triggering the sensor and the pump to start running again. There should be a backflow valve included because the pump never actually turns off. The 12 inches of water in the outflow pipe just goes right back into the container when it stops.

Great product, quality fail
Bought one for hot tub cover clearance - worked perfectly for many months (small, powerful and love the integrated sensor/switch). Switched it to an HVAC condensate overflow guard - I think it works there. Bought a second one to put back on the hot tub cover. Doesn't pump water. If you blow hard (with your mouth) into the intake port & then put it into water it will pump fine, but once stopped, it fails. Such a pity - solved a tough problem really neatly and effectively the first time, failed the second. Couldn't find ANY way to contact the manufacturer off Amazon site - all links just lead to Amazon dead ends, not the manufacturer. Too late to get a refund or replacement. 16% 1* reviews - come on Amazon! This manufacturer has a great product and way too low quality! :(

Outstanding for what I needed it for. I need it to pump water from an open container to the sun back into a covered container not open to the sun to prevent algae build up for hydroponics garden.
