They are very very muted. The picture I uploaded shows a little bit of color due to the sunlight, but when I looked at it in person the light made it look paler not brighter. It looks like they were running out of dye or something when they made this cover. That, or they really intensified the colors in the pictures they used to display it. Part of the reason I bought this duvet cover was because the colors went so well with my room. I feel pretty disappointed that it didn't work out and I feel misled by the way this product was displayed.
