Pilot V7 Hi-Tecpoint Cartridge System Rollerball Pen Medium Point - (Blue 3 & Black 3)

Refillable rollerball pens are hard to come by at a decent price; especially for something that you'd be willing to throw in a bag or pocket, or hand to someone to use without worry. These take fountain pen in cartridges well and I have refilled a cartridge with fountain pen ink and it has been working just fine. Keep in mind, over time, the rollerball will eventually wear to the point where it may leak, but thats the case with most any rollerball. The pen is comfortable to hold and pretty durable as well. The ink flows smoothly and I have not had any leaks at all. You can write quickly without the ink skipping or bleeding excessively. All in all a great pack of pens to have on hand. I wish Pilot would make an RT version of this pen!

These pens are hard to get in the USA in 2026. The disposable version is everywhere, but no-one seems to have the cartridge version in stock. The actual Cartridge System Rollerball pens are great. The cartridge is preinstalled and the pen writes immediately. The fact that the pens are sold like this gives me confidence that they will resist drying out. Of course, it's recommended to reload these pens with actual Hi-Tecpoint ink cartridges, but with a cartridge that matches what is used in Pilot fountain pens, it opens up the possibility of refilling it with whatever ink you want. Unfortunately, Amazon picked the seller that is wrongly selling the disposable version on this listing and I had to return it and reorder from the other seller. I received the correct product the second time. The seller that had the correct product is no longer listed here, so I might have bought the last of their stock. You have a very good chance of receiving the wrong version now.

Product as described

This pen was advertised as a previous version which had a removable/replaceable cartridge. It does not. If this version is what you're looking for you will be disappointed.

Very good pen for student it is very smooth

They are pretty good, the ink does not smudge easily. If it does not come at first try, just give it a hard shake and it will work, definitely a better choice than regular pens. The 4 starts comes from the fact they are not refillable so you need to throw it away after the ink is gone.

There are not Cartridge System pen. They are the non-cartridge versions. They work and are decent pens but they are not what the product title and description say these are.
