Vitamix blenders totally rock -- this is our second one we have purchased reconditioned, the first one lasted 10 years and was still going strong, we just wanted to something with programs. This one is really great -- we make multiple smoothies every day, and being able to turn it on and walk away is amazing. It is a bit loud, understandable given that we have it grind a pile of ice, and the ability to walk away from it and let it run helps deal with that. It is pretty fast, like less than a minute, and the consistency of the product is perfect. And the pitchers are easy to clean -- unlike many blenders where the blade screws on from the bottom which creates potential for leaks and crevices to clean, this one is one piece and super easy to clean -- definitely recommend!

This is our first Vitamix product and it has been a star performer in the kitchen. Looks and works like brand new. Smoothies and other blends go down easy. The container and food pusher was brand new. Just remember to put the liquids on the bottom and you will be golden. Or don't; and just push the stuff down there. Wish I had purchased one sooner. Vitamix is responsive by email when you have questions, too.

Amazing blender. This blender is very powerful and has no issue chewing through ice cubes. It can be a bit noisy on higher settings, but nothing I would consider to be a problem. I would expect noise if something is powering through ice cubes like it’s nothing. I like that it has some automatic programs so that, for example, it’ll start slow to mix, then ramp up to grind/blend. Cleaning it is a breeze. You just lift out the container, which has the blade built-in, and wash it out. The lid is a silicone type material so is easy to clean as well. I’ve had it for a few months now and it seems to be very durable. I will update the review if I run into any issues.

Amazing deal! The renewed VitaMix blender works perfectly and is a HUGE upgrade from our Ninja blender. We make a lot of fruit and vegetable smoothies, and we no longer get seeds from berries stuck in our teeth after we blend the smoothie It blends absolutely perfectly. Beyond highly recommended 👏

Excellent item. I am delighted with the smoothies, so well blended and tasty. Also tried the ice cream feature for chocolate ice cream and it was a hit too. I haven't tried the soup setting yet. It looks and acts like a totally new blender. Not as loud as other people mentioned. Besides, smoothies and ice cream do not take more than a minute. Very, very happy with it.

Awesome blender and as powerful as a wood chipper. My only negative (thus not a five star) is that the juice setting is as loud as a wood chipper. I tend to either plug my ears or leave the kitchen in the morning when I'm making juice. That being said, i wouldn't trust a wimpier blender to fully liquify whole fruit as this device does. I also appreciate that this particular device is completely analog. I want devices with knobs and switches, not ones that tals to me.

Holy cow, this thing is scary loud. Sounds just like the blenders at Starbucks and I thought it was going to take to flight and blast off thru my ceiling on the highest setting. The instructions make it sound as if you don't start it up in the correct order you might regret it. First power button, then check the second power button, then ramp it up. I'm used to the old 10-key push buttons where you just plug it in and use it. I bought this because it can make soup from scratch and that appealed to me. Just throw everything in and turn it to the soup setting and walk away and in 5 minutes you have piping hot soup.

We are hard on blenders. Within the first 5 years of marriage we went through one a year. Then, on our 5th anniversary, my mother gifted us with a vitamin that lasted us the next 6 years. I fell in love for the following reasons: No need to repurchase yearly. We make a lot of smoothies and this worked great. I could make raw deserts and the blender was strong enough to handle the ingredients. I could make soup. It lasted forever (5-6 years but you get the point) We used it daily. Sadly it died because we DO use it for everything. We picked this one as a second one. I’ve put off reviewing for a year because I was hoping I would grow to accept it. Nope. I’m still sad. The reasons this one fails: -The motor burns out while making a basic smoothie so I haven’t even tried to make any deserts in it. It doesn’t even make n’iceream well and it has a setting on it for nicecream!! -There is a setting on it for hot foods to make soup (a feature that was advertised in Costco for my first one. Totally a valid expectation of it as it has a setting on the blender and it was advertised that way. I only tried it once this year, it worked! However I noticed my lid was very soft and pliable afterwards and I was afraid it might deteriorate if that feature is used very often. Basically, it’s functioning like a blender priced at under $100 and lacks the versatility needed for my family. The feature I hate on both my previous and this one: -I have always worried about how the blender sits on the base. As a short woman I have to plunge with my arm above my head and work extra careful not to accidentally knock the base off the blender while blending. The sound of the blender base grating the the gears isn’t pleasant. I do like that it is easy to take off and put on, but it feels a touch unsafe. I know vitamix has a huge selection of choices. This isn’t the one that will work perfect for someone who wants all the extra functions. It might be a good one for those who want a basic blender that will outlast the year. Also it makes huge quantities. As a big family I loved that, though for making a single serving a different jug would work better. My teens found they have to use more then one banana and possibly more then 2 to make a smoothie.

Rock solid performance. Truly a blending champion. The wider jug is more shelf / cabinet friendly, so bonus there. However, something to keep in mind of you are in an apartment or townhouse… this sucker is LOUD! Don’t plan on making any soup at midnight unless you want a knock on your door from your neighbour. Put on your noise canceling headphones and enjoy!

Requires 110 volts AC electricity, not compatible with UK power supply. In addition, the plug is US plug. I have not tried it with a transformer. Otherwise it would be a good blender.

It took us a long time to buy a Vitamix due to the hefty price tag, but it's definitely woth the cost! We use it every single day for smoothies, and it also manages things that a regular blender could not handle, like grinding our own nut butters. We love this thing.

My favorite blender!!

I didn’t realize how crappy my other blender was until I got this. It’s so powerful. I use it for juicing. It blends hard veggies and fruits like ginger and beets with no issues. My old blenders would always have a smell like the motor was burning out. This really is worth the extra money if you blend a lot.
